I would argue that running a ponzi scheme is an addiction to money.
I'm not saying that someone always dies whenever someone uses a drug but the money they pay for it goes somewhere, and most drugs cause impaired judgement and a decreased ability to operate machinery. I don't think it's a stretch to think that every year innocent people are killed because of drug use.

You asked who dies because of drug use. You can't just limit it to one specific way of using it. It would be like talking about the dangers of alcohol and not counting how many people drink and drive.

I thought I was clearly talking about someone who is JUST doing drugs on their own. No driving or machinery involved.
