I would argue that running a ponzi scheme is an addiction to money.

I'm not saying that someone always dies whenever someone uses a drug but the money they pay for it goes somewhere, and most drugs cause impaired judgement and a decreased ability to operate machinery. I don't think it's a stretch to think that every year innocent people are killed because of drug use.

Ok but that's a driving on drugs issue and a selling drugs issue.

The money you pay for anything can end up anywhere.

Why shouldn't drugs be blamed for drug related traffic accidents?

I believe that is a huge reason why mary jane is not legal. There is no reliable quick test for cops to use for DUI. Stuff is in your system forever.

Well, you're talking about the danger of drugs. Im thinking of one person doing drugs in their home.

You could certainly link it to the driving thing, but thats not drugs alone.

You asked who dies because of drug use. You can't just limit it to one specific way of using it. It would be like talking about the dangers of alcohol and not counting how many people drink and drive.

Which people die from a single person using (not making or selling) drugs? is what I said.

I thought I was clearly talking about someone who is JUST doing drugs on their own. No driving or machinery involved.

And it was part of my larger point that jailing users is not productive.

Well, if you take away all possible interactions with anyone else then almost everything is safe. Alcohol, cigarettes, guns, bombs, fireworks, and pretty much everything else is not dangerous either if someone is just doing it on their own without anyone else close.

Tell that to David Carradine.
