So, the two points scored by the losing team were a result of free throws.

What team fouls when they are up by 100 points?!?

Yeah dick I know what it is. Ya fuck.
My point is that without the press the results were pretty much the same. The losing team still didn't get a Damn bucket.
The defense didn't matter. What the winning team did didn't matter. That losing team is so terrible that what the winners did did not matter.
Did you notice that they lost by 90 plus already? They suck. No one piled on. They can't not pile on when that team can't even score one fucking bucket.

Are you really defending pressing the shit out of an unbelievably inferior opponent in a fucking high school game? You've got to be kidding.

No. He stopped pressing in the second half. The results were similar. Perhaps the coach used this time in the first to give his team a chance to practice the press in game time instead of scrimmage, preparing for the next game. Maybe he's like Pitino and generally runs the press and not running it took him out of his standard defense.
Either way, the dude didn't run the press in the second half, didn't play his starters and still these losers don't muster up one Damn field goal. The reason they got blowed the fuck out had nothing to do with the first half press it was entirely a completely incompetent team coached by a completely incompetent coach.
That's why they get blown out the way they do. This ain't the first time. These girls are very very bad and the coach is 2 worse because he ain't making they better, Hes BEGGING for PITY. That is pathetic.

Lol this is way more attention than girls hs basketball deserves. Both the coaches are penises, with winning coach being the bigger penis, end of story.

How can a team be that bad? Poor sportsmanship for sure.

These two sentences seem to me to be contradictory.

The losing coach should have used this opportunity to teach his team to injure the opposing team's best player.

Now that's what I'm talking about.

I don't advocate violence but some problems just need to be addressed with a punch in the mouth.

I don't see how a team can score only 2 points in a game off free throws. 6 and 7 year olds routinely score 20 something points. How can a hs team be that bad?

When our kids are getting beat down or giving a beat down, they have to work on something, run a play or pass x number of times before they take a shot, or the play clock runs. I know hs is different. This article makes it sound like they were playing balls to the wall the whole game. Why? If the objective is to win and clearly they were going to why was 100 pts not enough? It seems crazy. Poor sportsmanship by that coach. I don't think beat downs are fun for either side though.

I was running the scoreboard for my daughter's girls JV game last week- we (110 student parochial school) were playing an 850 student public school. During warm-ups I noted three girls 5'10 to 6 feet tall on their squad, our tallest girl is 5'10. We press, have since I was a student there. They could not handle it, nor did they take advantage of their height. At 25 points up in the first half, our coach pulled off the press. We played the whole game at normal pace, won by 38 or so, never got to 40 (running clock trigger, stays running until margin lowers to 30) That is the best learning opportunity for both teams- play the whole game under normal circumstances. All players saw almost exactly equal time for our squad, the opponent had a tougher time subbing in some of his long bench for equal minutes. I asked our coach after the game about the school philosophy in a blowout- he said he would pull the zone back inside the 3 line (give up any 3, they hit zero on the night). Another challenge is to make our team advance the ball without dribbling- all passes the whole length of the court encourages teamwork.
