Stone Pony had some sort of illness. Desert fever or something like that.

Not true!

But I do have warm and fuzzy memories of Arkansas losing the "Game of the Century" vs. Texas. Or Sidney Moncrief and the Razorbacks getting smoked by Bird & his Indiana States also rans. :P

Lou Brock & Early Wynn were pretty damned godawful.

You could go three innings with Farmer without hearing the score.

you'll hear 8 comparisons to his pitching days though. and 17 awkward pauses between dj and him

You have to realise that Hawk is the prime example of just because you played it doesn't mean you know it ie. Moving a HOF catcher to LF. He sort of reminds me of Matt Millen,,can talk about it for days know anything about it neva!

Hawk has evolved into a caricature of himself. Much of his shtick is tired and overdone, but I'll still take it. The radio booth has turned over enough to prove that whatever comes after Hawk, will be awful. He's a homer....he's biased...he's flat out wrong on a lot of things, but I cannot help but still love him.

"Come on, Timo! Come on, Timo! Come on, Timo! Come on, Timo!" has to be my all-time favorite Hawk moment. Horrible announcing, but damnit I loved it.

I've tried to warm up to Farmer but i just can't. He was tolerable with John Rooney doing play by play, but since that ended the radio broadcast is pain and agony.

In that same vein, one time Iguchi got in a rundown after a run had just scored and it was something like

NO....GO....YESS....TADA-EEE-TOOO-NOOOO...DADGUMMIT

If they let Hawk pick anyone to do games with him...who would he pick? Assuming that person is alive and would be willing to sit at every game with him?

I am surprised he came back for the WHOLE season this year. The guy loves golf, he is really old, and had the chance to basically go Part time at the age of 112? Sounded like a great deal....I dont care how good he thought the team would be, let Stone and ______ do the shitty April and May games.

CH is right, Farmer will always be my voice of the White Sox.

I do love Hawk, though. I think he's pretty genuine in his love for the Sox.
