That'd be rough. You are not responsible for your kid's successes or failures. They will do all sorts of stuff that disappoint and anger you. I still don't think that this is how you treat your child, ever.

It might have been. I really don't know.

But when you are raising a son without a father figure and living in an impoverished and forgotten area, maybe that is the only solution she knew of.
