Great game/ instant classic. Even after a miraculous final drive (final play especially) in regulation by the Packers to tie the game, the Cardinals hold it together and win a thriller.

This one was pretty good! It was probably for the Louisville Cardinals, but to find a Cardinal mascot on a horse....well done.

Took your white hood off long enough to praise Fitzgerald, eh?

Not happy with the outcome, but hats off to Fitz. Hell of a fucking player when he has an NFL caliber QB.

You didn't believe so you shouldn't be too upset. I always wonder how great he could have been if he played with a great QB. Just like I wonder how much better Brady could have been if you gave him a Moss for most of his career.

The guy is a great player. As others have said, if he had played with a great QB, his stats would be far greater. Just because he's black doesn't mean I can't appreciate his athletic ability. I'm not going to invite him into my home, but I can appreciate his talent. Michael Jackson was a hell of a singer/ performer. Wouldn't have let him in my home, but I would have gone to see him perform. Fergie Jenkins and Billy Williams are my 2 favorite Cubs of all time. Fergie is the only one I would invite into my home. I got to know him at his Baseball camp in Northbrook years ago. I brought my son to his camp and after dropping him off and watching for a while, I would go play golf at Winnetka or Glencoe. After chatting with Fergie a couple times, he asked me if I was going back to work after I drop my son off, as I was in shorts and polo shirts, I think he expected I was not. I told him I was going golfing and he and I talked golf for a while. He loves to golf, played Basketball too, including with the Globe Trotters. He's Canadian, didn't know that before that week. Anyway, he wound up golfing with my son and I after the last day of camp. We played twilight at Winnetka golf club. He beat me by 5-6 strokes. One of the most pleasant guys I have ever met. Intelligent, articulate, thoughtful and could not have been nicer to my son. I have to say, when listening to Fitzgerald talk, he comes off as a pretty sharp guy. Not overly boastful, articulate and intelligent. I wish more were like that.

Kirkwood is definitely more reprehensible than this guy.

Frank, I understand that. I was being facetious.
You know, I always thought that Steve might have been a little misunderstood.
Now, I know I am wrong.
He is a total asshole, plain and simple.

I like Fitz as a player, but I'm not impressed by his giving away 15 "scholarships" to the University of Phoenix.

I am not going to try to back off what I meant. I meant black athletes. Too many, (like Derrick Rose) can't articulate a single thought effectively, mumble and use slang rather than speaking in an intelligent, articulate and effective manner. It's nice when a guy like Fitzgerald or Curtis Granderson comes along and communicates effectively and has something of substance to contribute when he speaks.

Just imagine the heartbreak that brings...

The purpose of the thread was to pay tribute to a team and especially a player who performed exceptionally well in a great game. The moment when Fitzgerald took time to shake the hand of a retired vet in a wheelchair was pretty cool too. Even took off his right glove before shaking his hand. Pretty cool gesture.
