Longtime track announcer now calling races at Santa Anita. He did some time in Chicago for a while, but that was before I was interested in the game.

Anyway, during yesterday's Megahertz stakes, the winning horse of the race is named Keri Belle, but twice during the race he referred to her as "Keri Lynn". :safe:

I've got no issue with the man's proclivities for MILF porn. It's his accent I hate.

Don't think so, but I do remember meeting Rick Wrona's granddad near will call in the 1989 season. I thought it was awesome. I was 10.

Awe JORR. He's my favorite going right now. I'm also a Bigfan of Kurt Becker from Keeneland.

I love Becker. Harness guy from Altamont, Illinois. But I will say, I liked when Keeneland was traditional with no announcer.

I was going to ask what happened to Trevor Denman but I looked it up and found he "abruptly retired." :?: :?:

Here's Becker calling the State Fair Final for 3 year old colt pacers at Springfield in 1998. This is probably the greatest field of Illinois-breds ever to go behind the gate. My horse, Mr. Blue Sky scored from the rail in here. With those fractions going up and how much pace my horse had at the top of the stretch, I really thought we had a huge shot to win it. My guy was pacing a hole in the wind but he may have even lost ground. That's how good that group was.
