I've always liked the hat. The rest of that uniform is pure 70s. It seems like that decade produced the oddest of baseball uniforms.

Those are pretty sweet. Everything about the Pirates is cool. They have the best ballpark, cool jerseys, the Jolly Roger and their best player goes about his business with a quiet confidence.

I loved the hat as a kid...right up until the gangs appropriated it (& Pops Stargell's stars) :(

Agreed.

I wish the Cubs had a Powder Blue Pinstripe Sunday alt.

I like the color scheme, but no grown man should ever take a major-league field in pullovers and elastic-band pants again.

Yeah, I find it very hard to hate the Pirates. Same with the Reds, other than that pindick Marty Brennaman.

I found it very easy to hate the Reds, during their brief stay of relevancy.

I am so glad he is back in the NL! Jayson Stark does a piece where he interviews random front office people and some numb nuts actually said Dusty Baker was the biggest impact signing of the offseason

Maybe for every team in the NL that isn't the Nats I am looking forward to Strasburg's Tommy John

I was an Oriole guy growing up so I did not like the Pirates. I like them now
