Run a non-serious campaign, said a bunch of shock shit and then let the media do the rest of the work?

Who needs an actual campaign staff, plan or even a microscopic understanding of policy when you have the media entertainment complex protect you, attack your opponents and give you free advertising?

The strings were not hidden during this election cycle, on either side. We all had a nice long look behind the curtain.

That said, this cycle will be a fucking shit show and I can't wait.

I don't see Trump as any different than Palin. However, he is less assailable on intelligence because he has money and an Ivy League degree, despite how either of them were acquired.

His hostile takeover of the Republican party is being dismissed. Trump came in from the outside and took over a political party despite their system being rigged. He did this without spending much money and with a very small campaign staff. He didn't even try to run on their platform. He said whatever he wanted to because he recognized people didn't care. His destruction of the Republican establishment has been impressive.

I don't see the correlation between multiple divorces and a married man getting hummers from a girl the age of his daughter under his desk at work.
Sorry!

Huh? Donald has had multiple affairs and Bill Clinton isn't running for president.

As a voter who believes that change and upheaval is needed with our political system, I would prefer that it come from Bernie, not Trump. Trump appeals to the lowest common denominator...the uneducated, uninformed, skinheads, racists, bigots, etc. I am enjoying seeing the republican party torn apart by Trump though. It really highlights just how upset conservatives are with the republican party and their dumb ass politicians. I want my president to be someone who my children can look up to...a person who I would like my kids to emulate. No one wants their children to act like Trump. He acts like a petulant brat.
As much as I would like to see a brokered democratic convention, we will probably be stuck with Hillary and she will begrudgingly get my vote. Not sure she can beat Trump though. He is going to tear her to shreds.

Trump has admitted past infidelities. Look harder, or just continue to see what you want.

It's really quite something when you think of a Reality TV star taking out all the professional politicians.

this is what you get when you promote childish practices in your party for a decade. the GOP has been a joke and people are sick of it. trump calls them out, and people love it. i dont think people are voting trump to save the ship, they are simply using him as way to pull the leaders down to the bottom of the ocean where they feel they have already been left.

Fitting that my first post is about politics....if he somehow pulls this off, our country is an embarrassment. I will say he has a talent of somehow getting those who laugh at him to end up jumping on his wagon. Baffling that anyone could want this tool in charge of our country.

We've had tools in charge for the better part of the last 50+ years. Why change now?

I agree. But Hillary is only slightly less worse.

Yet he's also tapped into the anger felt by many Americans--including Americans who are tired of being called ignorant, uninformed, and so on. I think people are getting tired of hearing how good mass immigration to the US is. They saw first hand how immigration (as well as outsourcing and the destruction of regulations on Wall Street and industry in general) diluted their strength. Of course, other factors than the parenthetical ones were involved, too, but....my point is that Trump knew where to strike.

Wanna be a successful pol? Go where the pain is. And don't tell people they're not in pain. Democrats have been doing that for 50 years. I think there is white privilege, but economically, it applies to fewer and fewer whites. The number will continue to dwindle. This is why there exists such a thing as former Democrats.

Trump is actually pointing that out. That takes balls, since you are not allowed to say these things in many quarters of American society (college campuses, for example).

In spite of that, I'd never vote for him. I don't think he gives a shit about the problems he has given voice to. And I don't think he has any answers, either.

Got a hot wife, though.

Trying to cut into Bernie's voters on the erroneous assumption that they share similarities with Trump's voters.

The true minimum wage is zero. Just ask the ones whose $15/hr jobs are being automated because machines are cheaper than unskilled humans.

"I'm not eating Oreos anymore," Trump said reiterating his well-worn promise to no longer eat the cookies because of parent company Nabisco's decision to move a plant to Mexico.

"But neither is Chris. You are not eating Oreos anymore. No more Oreos — for either of us." The crowd laughed, and Trump soothed: "Don't feel bad."
