I've long had a somewhat irrational loathing of bumper stickers or window decals of any kind (excepting 'mandatory' ones like, for example, parking permits and the like).

I do, however, think it's fairly rational that people should have their auto insurance premium surcharged based on how many voluntary stickers/decals they have affixed to their vehicle.

fwiw, I'm OK with funny bumper stickers...as long as they are actually funny or clever. Sports teams too. It's those addressing real life issues that I roll my eyes at.

Agreed on the local races. I assume most of the uninformed people are just voting based on who's name they've seen plastered on the most signs in their neighborhood (especially when something like party affiliation does not play a role)

The worst are the ones for judges. You shouldn't vote if you are voting for a judge because you recognize the name from a sign.

Unlike Bernie.

Bernie said repeatedly he'd support Hillary.

Nothing worse than a bumper sticker philosopher.

Trump is an terrible human being who, were he to die in a fire would not be missed. Cruz is worse.

@CarlBeijer Jul 21 Cruz getting the chance to posture as a principled moderate vs. Trump for a 2020 run against a recession-burdened HRC is a nightmare outcome

Cruz's only shot was against Trump. You couldn't beat him? You're a TEA PARTY GUY RUNNING AGAINST A RICH GUY! It's over for Teddy. Not that he won't try again though.

He's going to get extra credit for not kissing the ring unlike most of the retreads that will try again in 4 years. And he arguably had the best managed campaign of the Republican candidates this go-round. It's definitely a lot easier for me to envision him winning in that manner in 4 years than it was for me to see Trump's success at the start of this primary season.

it's Paul Ryan's contest to lose in 2020. He'd have to fall humpty dumpty hard to not be the guy.

People thought it was Ryan's to lose 4 yrs ago as well.

The way things are going I wouldn't be shocked to see Joni Ernst up on a stage four years from now accepting a nomination.

Doesn't Ryan have to worry about keeping his own seat this year?

Haven't heard anything about there being a serious challenge to his seat...looking at his history, he hasn't had any problems winning his seat.
