Coronavirus. This. Is. Not. Going. Away. By. May.
Baseball? What about hotel workers. What about grounds keepers.
What about...

Rich people on the north shore whose kids are club hockey players.

Now is the time. The time for serious voice. Quiet. Slow. Serious. Voice.

The time for mocking homosexuals and finding interest in big breasted sideline reporters is over.

When can we start looking at boobs again?

I don't know, son. I just don't ... know.

Wealthy people love the economy shutting down. The feds inject money, inflation happens, and the majority of people end up with no buying power while the wealthy are still wealthy. Repeat every 10 years. Blow up buildings, spread disease, whatever it takes. Just need to crash the economy every 10 years to prevent trickle up economics. Much better to just print new monies for the worthless.

i'm not going to say they cause any of this but ike is right. it literally ties up all the finances of the lower classes of society meanwhile the rich go on a buying spree adding to their mountains of wealth.

I prefer to refer to them as "buxom". Let's go with that, mate!

if you're making passive income on, say, bonds, then inflation is the last thing you want.

Yeah Ike is hopped up on something. By all accounts, stock market wealth is concentrated in the hands of the wealthy, so there is no benefit to them having it go down. And yes, inflation erodes the buying power of everyone.

It's not going to be gone by June either.

At some point we are going to have to decide it is worth it to step out of the bubble knowing there is a risk

One of the guys on Mully and Haugh (can't remember his name) was clearly going after people like Dan on the 5 at 5 segment. They were talking about baseball's plan to restart the game in 3 or 4 weeks. He was basically saying what everyone knows. The longer you keep the economy closed the more permanent damage will be done to it. Hiding in our house until a vaccine is created will destroy people's lives. Bernstein pretends he's fighting for the working man, minorities, women, yet he's so out of touch he doesn't understand what this is doing to the average Joe.

Now I think locking down the economy is the right thing.

And even if/when it is "gone" the cattle are gonna go out and get it and spread it until we lock down again for another month (or two or three) in 2-3 months.

Basically, no more sports no more concerts no more public assembly for any reason. Always treat thy neighbor like the enemy combatant s/he is and be sure to have a =) on your face because this is the new normal.

Now get up against that wall in the designated position for your temperature check, peasant!

I think small retail places should be opened in a couple weeks. Even the more hysterical models are dramatically reducing the previously predicted death tolls.

As far back as 2 weeks ago, he intimated that his family were utilizing different parts of their house to minimize contact with one another.

He’s living in a bubble within a bubble within a bubble

Open up the economy to anyone under 65 who has no serious health issues. Lock the older and unhealthy in the basement and have family members leave food and supplies every 3 days.

I actually listened to the entire 1st hour from Tuesday's show. But that was enough. Still, that is more than I had listened to Bernstein and McKnight over the last year. Switched over the Mac and Parkins interviewing Boomer after that.

Overall, it is getting harder and harder to listen to sports talk nowadays. Find myself going to a science or politics podcast sooner than I usually do. Even been listening to Bill Simmons more than I have in a couple years.

J Hood's podcast has been pretty good.
