In today's paper, there was this line, concerning Trump's attempts to subvert the electrical college:

"Mr. Pence is too much the patriot to go along . . ."

I think the writer must be a CFMB poster!

Does anyone else laugh their ass off when they hear the word patriot? The other day, my mom was trying to explain to me one of my brother's admiration for Dubya. "Well," my mom said, "you know Patrick is such a patriot." I couldn't stop laughing. There was also a clip on that Decades channel by a former CBS talking head--Bob Schiefer?--who ended a bit with, "But he cannot, because, says the congressman, he's a patriot."

Attractive lady has also entered my day-to-day speech, not to mention the speech of the Missus, who enjoys calling me that.
