Awesome show

I appreciate high character people but I think ABC is manipulative and disgusting in this kind of "reporting". It still incenses me that Hansen was bringing pedophiles, unchecked until they reached the house where the sting occurred, into residential neighborhoods all in the name of entertainment.

Its a hidden camera show though. Its not presented as news or reporting. Its really interesting to see how people react to certain things.

That means ABC lured a pedophile into a residential neighborhood in which that pedophile would have never traveled which puts every child in that neighborhood at risk. Unchecked means that the person had free range to stop along the way at any house in those neighborhoods because they were no extra protections provided by law enforcement commensurate with the heightened risk.

I believe it is on 20/20 which is touted as a visual news magazine.

I remember 20/20 as being like 60 Minutes when I was growing up. Then they hired John Stossel to investigate wrestling and it seemed to go down from there.

the sting wasn't "come to this general neighborhood, there are young boys and girls that want to have sex with you somewhere! " it was a specific address where there was in fact law enforcement present, except for the very first season i believe

You unnecessarily bring a dangerous element into an environment where one did not exist and endanger lives. I understand the element exists and is free to roam but ABC lured them to a location.

Have your sting at a some other controlled environment.

but it is a controlled environment....these aren't average citizens just helping the police out, they're trained, the house is wired to the hilt, there are cameras everywhere

would you suggest they try and lure them to an abandoned warehouse in the middle of an industrial area ? i mean, it kinda has to be somewhat realistic in order to actually catch the person...

These pedophiles live somewhere, in some neighborhood, and near someone's kids. Why does it matter where they are busting them?
