Absolutely nobody has mentioned race in this thread and you went and did it. For what? Stop trolling man.

You said you were leaving, then came back.

You asked for an received an apology. And the same stupidity exists.

And you had your chance to flip out at black people in person. You took a pass. Shocking to absolutely no one either.

Don't blame that on your PTSD.

Michigan's anti-gubberment protestors getting soft. Back in the day they'd load up a Uhaul with fertilizer and puppies and drive it into a day care. Now they just cruise Michigan avenue and wave pro-government flags? Confederate Flag waver probably a Whitmer staffer or Biden buddy.

You said you were leaving, then came back.

Not true, Bubba. I left

You asked for an received an apology. And the same stupidity exists.

It was not the apology that I wanted and deserved.

And you had your chance to flip out at black people in person. You took a pass. Shocking to absolutely no one either.

Do you want to tell people the reason behind what you offered to do? That was in a few of your PMs and I will not reveal what you said in them because they are considered private are they not? As for flipping out at black people that is not what I said. I said that I would not be afraid to say anything that I have said to black people including my compliment of Khalil Mack and his ability to destroy people trying to block him. Do you think that I am afraid of anyone? Funny stuff, Crest/LTG.

The notion that anyone should be afraid to express their opinions to minority people because they might attack you in return is not how I am built. I treat people the same way because I do not care what skin color that they are only that they are human beings. Many in the world do not do that and I think that is a sad thing. I think that most of the attitudes like that have been amplified by the media in trying to stir shit up and not to bring folks together. Why tip toe about race anyway. Lets say two children are born in a hospital, one black and one white. I'd say that those two babies are equal in all respects as human beings and deserve to be nurtured and loved accordingly by their parents. What happens as they develop is what other people do to them and teach them, the good and the bad. It is culture in the world that takes the open ended brain matter in the two children and forms it into the final product not the inherent fact that they were born black, white or half and half.

Don't blame that on your PTSD.

Gee Crest/LTG, why do you keep bringing up my PTSD? I think that you are doing it to insult me.

I don't bring it up as any kind of excuse for anything though you certainly accuse me of it. You should apologize for doing such an insulting thing. My PTSD is a disability which I must control both for my sake and those around me. It has not a damned thing to do with intelligence and the ability to conduct my affairs in life or to conduct educated conversations with people. I've had it for a long time without even knowing that I had it. Fortunately it didn't affect my ability to thrive in my working or coaching careers although for a time it did affect my marriage.

I take medication to allow me to sleep without having the flashbacks and nightmares that I used to have. In addition I take other meds to keep my emotions and temper under control along with counseling by both psychiatrists and psychologists. It has greatly helped me and I have long encouraged some of my veteran friends to seek help when they encounter similar stuff in their lives.

Now then please knock off the insults about my PTSD and your accusations that somehow I am a coward. :( :( :(

Conservative organizations running around with Confederate flags and "shutting down traffic for hospital workers and first responders" will likely have the opposite effect than the one they're trying to manufacture. While I and others might agree with them in principle regarding the shutdown, I'm not going to be a part of Trumpet rallies.

It is. It's stupid and a really bad look. I know it was organized by a conservative group but this really isn't a political or left right issue. I would hope most were just normal people there yesterday being pissed at their government.

I was talking about this with a longtime friend of mine, who is definitely right of center and definitely aligned on reopening with somebody like JORR. She got out of an abusive four year relationship last year with a Rhodesian-American racist dumbass. Total media stereotype of a Trump supporter.

After a year of harassing her, the asshole finally moved to suburban Orlando earlier this year. She said that if he had moved to The Villages instead, he'd be the first kind of dumbass look at me type to march on the Florida capital. And he'd be the asshole who would get himself interviewed by Don Lemon and ruin it for everyone else.

No reason to be running around with Confederate flags and blocking traffic; I hate it when the radical left does it, so I hate them doing it too.

I was just being sarcastic with the quotes. That's usually a gripe of a conservative type when a non conservative group is protesting.

While not a Whitmer supporter, some of her ideas were grounded in good intentions- the roving families spending hours in our local Lowe's Garden Center clearly violating the social distancing idea could lead one to order such centers closed. True, the lone shopper quickly entering and purchasing two weeks worth of solo, outdoor landscape labor supplies gets hurt by the idiot. Same thing for the couple who owns their lake cottage and travels directly there and hides out. They get blocked by the 22 friends in one lakeside rental partying the nights away. And none of the UP folks want anything to do with a million visitors from the hellhole that is Wayne county right now.

We had two acquaintances participating in the rally, both owners of landscaping-related companies, and I see their points. Their employees can work solo or distantly, it is safer to be outside, alone right now. And people need their service- lots of folks who can't or shouldn't be mowing their own lawns. They had exhausted all other forms of communication with the governor, local and state representatives, even our drunk-assed State Rep, with few if any responses. And one of the people had a really hard time with fellow protesters who were walking shoulder to shoulder, blocking access to an ER entrance, etc.

Readers' Digest version: The idiot few will ruin just about everything for the respectful majority.

Yea sorry, I dont buy the whole "a few idiots ruined it for anyone"...our rights are supposed to be stronger than that. The fact that people believe in lunatic religions or get on a podium and speak garbled nonsense (our two nominees for president!) are behaviours we have ultimately no problems tolerating because we understand the broader protection of those freedoms is so important.

It doesn't matter if you own a landscaping business or own a lake house. It does not even matter if you live in Michigan or not. This governor, and to be fair many have done very similar things but not to this extent, has gone tyrannical. Maybe her intentions are good, maybe she is prioritizing the public health, but let's call a spade and spade and this the tyranny that it so clearly is.

I also think "they ruined it" is lazy. That being said when you are trying to mobilize a non partisan coalition, it's probably a good idea to pretend that it's organic and leave behind the polarizing props.

You cannot control what one person brings to these things, and let's not be naive. It would not be below anyone in American politics to pay somebody $100 to wave a confederate flag at this rally, or a USSR flag at pussy-hat rally.

Most of us have been in our houses for a month with no end in sight. They've shut down parks & schools. I'm lucky my kids are older because I can't imagine what it would be like to have little ones. Sometimes on the way home from an activity I'll make a stop at the grocery store, my kids groan and say they don't want to. One asked if they could go to the store with me the other day. I said no but you could go for me. He did just to be out. If they don't come up with a plan better than what they have you will have people wandering around aimlessly anywhere they can even Lowes.

Everyone judges things that affect them. I judge that you are a pompous narcissist that decided very early on to insult me and make shit up. Now you are again making shit up about supposedly my dislike for Japanese people and black people. Who made you God anyway? Your insults suck and you are a poor example of someone who calls themselves Catholic. :x :x :x

So for all the protests, it looks like some restrictions will be going away around May 1st, like they would have anyways.
