He was probably just choosing to be bad the last couple of years, even though he had good WRs, TE and one of the best QB-coaches in the country. Decent run game also.

I like the choice he made to have most of his teammates resent him also.

We all make choices, I guess. Hopefully he chooses to be "good Kap" at his next stop.

Kaepernick wasn't bad last year.

Kaepernick wasn't bad last year.

His QB rating last year was worse than any of Cutler's last 3 seasons.

So a 86.4 qb rating is bad?

Kap may be struggling but in no realm of the mutltiverse is Blaine Gabbert the answer. Truly stunning what has happened to that team.

I'd take a flyer on Kap if I was one of several teams out there. I don't think there are 31 QBs better than him right now, and he was a few plays away from leading the 49ers to a super bowl win. He's still got some potential.

Cutler is exactly why I find the line you drew for "bad" to be curious.

Is that a yes or no?

If you are looking solely at QB rating and using that to determine if a QB is good or bad, you're gonna have a bad time.

Kap is owed a lot of money. Have to be cut first, then signed cheap.

Cutler isn't bad. He is average to below average for a starting quarterback. Kaepernick was average to below average last year. He was not bad.

What you ultimately know, and why you won't answer, is that Kaepernick in 2014 compares pretty equally to Cutlers career numbers and his numbers with the Bears, and even the last 3 years he wasn't significantly better than "bad Kaepernick".

That is why you keep on saying things like "Smart fants told me that XXX".

Keep in mind the barometer that is used by Brick while assessing such situations. Etwaun Moore is considered by Brick to be a "solid contributor". I must have missed the last three games because if memory serves me correct he hasn't contributed a damn thing. I know this is not technically that conversation but it is relative when taking into account the mindset involved

If that's how he feels, and is willing to accept any negative consequences that come from his decision, then good for him for speaking his mind.

Yeah, he's a smart guy and knows what he is doing. Said he'd accept any consequences.

for some reason i've always hated colin kaepertwink ever since i first laid eyes on him. no, the -twink suffix to my augmented version of his name doesn't signify some sort of [I H8 BURRITOS] deal, it's just some kind of a gut reaction to the uhhh.... let's go with veritable aura of [shitheadedness?] that i get off of him. you know, you can just look at the guy and get a vibe of some kind of cocky/cock(?)sure(!;) thing going on and i reckon it just [TRIGGERS] me.

Image

oh lol i just noticed that evidently nowadays he's grown out a beard.... to go with his jhericurl!?!?   but yeah i digress; all that (applicated?) hair around his face now makes it look like he's got some kind of bugged out anime-eyes! try as he might, he unintentionally comes off looking like some kind of pitiable cartoon character, or better yet some kind of stereotypical sad sack terrorist from an action movie from the 90s/early2000s >> check it out!

Image

ah well, no matter what these will always be the ~3mins of peak-entertainment from colin kaepertwink, that is unless you count that performance against the bears on sunday night football where the niners went up 20-0 in the first half DESPITE kaepertwink consistently forcing wide open receivers (with no defenders within 5yds of them) to jump lunge and dive for colin's balls ("heheheh... he said balls.... heheheheh") --- if kaepertwink coulda hit these open receivers in any sort of stride it woulda been like 34-0 or 45-0 at halftime. instead that piece of shit brandon marshall "led" the bears to a 21-20 comeback victory, and of course brandon being proud of himself after the game ultimately led to somebody high up in the bears organization getting pissed off and tapping bernstein to begin the PR campaign to grease the skids to get that sociopath out of chicago.

GODSPEED, KAEPERTWINK, GODSPEED! JUST THINK: YOU MIGHT BE THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WHOLE OF HUMAN HISTORY WHO WILL BE ABLE TO TELL ANYONE WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO LOSE YOUR JOB TO BLAINE FUCKING GABBERT! =D

oh, and just in case anyone was put off by seeing a few paragraphs from me wrapped around a couple of XL pictures, here's that unintentionally hilarious "I'm The Man" commercial that kaepertwink did for beats by dre headphones --- this will forever remain the best and most purely entertaining thing he's ever done

Always hated Kaep but I hate him a lot less now. That move took some balls in a league where he is already now considered a fringe player.

I disagree. He has virtually nothing to lose now that he is a fringe player.

It would have taken far more balls to risk a suspension when he was a starting QB with commercial endorsements.
