Perhaps. In a vacuum, I certainly wouldn't promote "outing" someone in a public forum for their posts here.

That said, it's burying the lead. Shakes has said things in the past on here that are reprehensible. He's clearly a piece of shit, no matter how many people come in this thread to talk about what a great guy he is in real life or talk about how fuckin' HILARIOUS it is that he threw his textbooks in a trash can (that crazy son-of-a-bitch!), and the things exhibited by his Twitter account are at least a "where there's smoke, there's fire" example of that. Hoffy's worst crime was distracting from the fact that shakes is a moron.

I know guys who play hockey in shakes league. They laughed when I referenced him. No one seemed to dislike him. They made fun of his white gloves but that is some kind of hockey faux pas I couldn't understand and they wouldn't explain.

Well, that's the funny and, I suppose, interesting thing about this board and the internet in general. In person, people probably don't say what they really mean. I mean, I doubt that shakes would say in real life that he thinks African-Americans are a weak-willed and ignorant group of people because they adopted the religion of their oppressors. But he said it here. Are we to believe that the "real-life" shakes is the real guy? Or the one on here? There's an interesting debate to be had regarding whether a person being a "good guy" in real life trumps the douche persona they hold here.
