Spoiled little shit. That's what's wrong with kids these days. You tell junior the menu. You don't ask.

must be nice to have money and all.

Don't you live in Sycamore? You're literally right next door to Dekalb, which has many great cheap pizza options.

You can still get a large pizza and 2 pitchers of beer at Lord Stanley's for $15. And that's one of the better thin crusts I've ever had.

Sycamore actually has the best pizza I've ever eaten, Sam's on 64. They're just expensive. Never did get Lord Stanley's...will try.

Jewel has a Culinary Circle thin crust pizza that is quite good for frozen pizza.

Chipotle isn't great. I don't have it more than twice a year, if that. But you eat like a 5 year old if you think Taco Bell is better. McDonald's is probably the second worst fast food place, next to TB. All fast food is gonna be shitty in general, but those places are a notch below a place like Wendys.

Great post. Anerica has become obsessed with "high quality" or "fresh" food. Look, if you're ever at lunch debating between Chipotle and Taco Bell, the logical choice is to get whatever tastes better. If you think that's Chipotle, fine. But don't give some bullshit reasoning about wanting to eat fresh or higher quality food. That ship sailed when these became your two choices. The argument is only legitimate when you are debating between seafood restaurants or somewhere where the freshness actually impacts the taste.

 yeah how crazy people actually want "high quality " or "fresh" food

im sure your wife will be glad to know she can't cook better quality food than a fast food restaurant

do you guys get footlong turkey subs from Subway on Thanksgiving instead of making her cook a turkey ?

I look at that and think "how low can we go?"
Red Baron and Digornio are quality. The rest is mostly garbage pizza designed to be cheap.

We'd eat Jack's pizza all the time in college, but I don't think I was ever not hungry right afterwards.

Diorgino feels like it's 80% bread . i don't like it at all

if i get any kind of frozen pizza its far preferable to get a super thin crust variety, that's the only you hope you have for a decent ratio of ingredients

Bagels just went yard.

The fact that you go to Chipotle for burritos in a town where there is a legit Mexican Restaurant every 3 blocks pretty much says it all.

At least I know Im slummin it when I go to Taco Bell.

Yeah, it gets hard to justify considering pasta is one of the cheapest and easiest things to make.

There are absolutely times where 4 tacos from Taco Bell sounds better than a Chipotle burrito.

Both have a chance of killing you

The difference is chipolte can plausibly claim to.be selling you real food.

I'd love for all these food elitists to define what they mean by "real food." Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but for fucks sake it meets the core requirements.

I don't want to sound more snobby than I might have already come across, but I'll try to define what I mean here. By real I think I more or less mean the lack of additives and other components that generally make up processed food, not to mention the demonstrated health effects of unchecked consumption of such processed food. I think it's common knowledge that much of what makes up fast food at these establishments is processed. Sure it makes you full and it can taste good, and that's fine if you don't mind of course. But technically there is a difference between processed and less or unprocessed foods, and that's all I guess I wanted to say when i made my remark on taco bell. I don't want to start a never ending article war but here is something that might convey in better terms what I've tried to say here.

It truly is. So is the place in the strip mall across the street from there (behind the cleaner's). The Schaumburg corridor was easily the saddest place I ever lived...

At least now I can take a 10 minute drive to Round Lake to get good tacos. And I work in Wheeling...

Just the one that dictates the pizza order.

And this isn't about your wonderful children. It is a commentary on the majority of American children. If you feel my post / comments were out of line based on the rules of the board, then report the post to bigfan and I'll be at his mercy.
