I'm pretty sure you're not gonna be able to fool G_d that way. He may just shake His head at a group of Jews trying to find a loophole by using an Eruv, but what you're talking about is a lot more serious.

Anyway, good works won't get you into Heaven. Jesus died for your sins. It's already been taken care of. You just need to accept Him as your savior. Can you do that? Have you done it? G_d will know.

Being pro-Latin Mass and then turning around and going sola fide is giving me theological whiplash!

I can argue a lot of sides when it comes to religion. I understand the philosophies and if you haven't noticed I know the Bible reasonably well.

Two things that have always fascinated me are religion and advertising. And they're pretty much the same thing when you get right down to it.

I think he's referring to your quick turn on the central teachings of Martin Luther.

I know what he's referring to.

Catholics don't put much stock in the Bible. It's a religion that is only loosely based on the Bible. Sort of like a miniseries "Based on True Events."

That's simply a mistaken notion.

Today, we'll take a look at the Catholic Church's three sources of authority – Scripture, Tradition, and the Magisterium – and why we hold all three to be equal sources in the passing on of the Faith. Catholics absolutely believe in and respect the authority of Sacred Scripture.

You say you want to avoid simpleton posts, yet you make these non sensical type of posts daily here on your board.

You should read the Bible more. It may provide you some solace.

"Yes, Catholics read the Bible, no, don't tell your Baptist audience that," I once instructed a copywriter for a King James Bible publisher.

I have to take issue with Mr. Byrne. Heaven is a place where everything happens all the time. It is infinite possibility realized. Life is the excruciating task of choosing one destiny from the many with which we are all born.

Fair. I like the harmony on this song though. Byrne and Tine Weymouth absolutely nail it in Stop Making Sense.

I wouldn't personally care either way, but a significant segment of Republicans said they did, so he pretends.

As of late we have also been praying the Prayer to Saint Michael.

"Saint Michael the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan, and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen."

Are you saying Catholics don't pray to saints and worship graven images? I'll set the odds at even money that you have a St. Hyacinth medal around your neck as we speak.

I'm sure some do, and I'm positive you know what a fallacy of composition is.

Do you have any pics of family in your home?

I don't worship them. I don't kiss them.

But you assume all Catholics worship pics or images of saints. Odd.

No answer on the Hail Mary?

I'm going to guess because most of the prayer is right out of the Scriptures that you claimed Catholics don't read.

I know that graven images are part of Catholicism. They're in every church I've ever been in.

As for the Hail Mary, why are you praying to her? Why not pray to Tall Midget for intercession? I think Matthew 12:46-50 says it all. What's your interpretation?

I'm not sure why you're so defensive. Catholicism is only loosely based on The Bible. It willfully ignores certain parts that are very clear.

and I ask you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the lord, our god.

If he would, I would ask Tall Midget to intercede on my behalf. I pray for people every day and I ask to be prayed for.
