Congrats to the Regular Readers. Those JRW kids kept it together. Half the Vegas kids were crying before the game was over.

I rarely compliment ESPN, but the #LLWS broadcast was very well done. Not too schmaltzy, and not overly critical of the kids' mistakes.

Congrats to the men from JRW. Great game, another grindy performance. Now let's take out the Asian Sensations, said the middle-aged suburban white guy.

if it's on ESPN there is a line on it

those highschool football games have lines on them

the spelling bee has betting

Jackie Robinson was a huge underdog in this game against Vegas

last I saw Vegas was around -530 against Chicago

The girl pitcher should cash in on her fame, and Vegas is taking bets. Nope, nothing wrong with exploiting these kids to a national audience. Carry on.

That 1 6 3 to end the game was executed better than either major league team here usually does.

My only guesses are Little Ed (today's closer & starting SS) or Brandon (today's catcher).

How do you feel about tomorrow? Will "Chicago Tough" be good enough?

I didn't make a prediction about today's game and won't make one about tomorrow. All I'll say is that those kids believe they can win & I don't doubt them.

I believe having to go through losers bracket to get to final has tapped out most of Chicago's pitching for tomorrow.

RR?

Laurence Holmes @LaurenceHolmes
HOLLA! So excited for #JRW #LLWS! Chi-town represent! I proudly call that my team, as I was (and am) a big part of their winning tradition.

Explain this one to me.

Leary grew up in Homewood, correct? This would be like me saying I am part of the tradition of any School that played in Chicago on the Northside?

he should interview them and he should support them, but correct me if I am wrong, this sure makes it look like he grew up playing in Washington heights.

And I would like to see his $ donations! I mean, he does make about $500K and I havent got a paycheck in 15 years!
