That's sort of what happens when you go from ashy to classy. It's never a smooth transition.

You know what I meant, ya' little jerk. They are usually marketing terms. Subways motto is "eat fresh." All I'm saying is at the juncture where you're choosing between fast food and semi-fast food, you may as well just get what tastes better, arsenic be damned. If you want truly fresh, high-quality food, go to Cooper's Hawk.

im sure your wife will be glad to know she can't cook better quality food than a fast food restaurant

do you guys get footlong turkey subs from Subway on Thanksgiving instead of making her cook a turkey ?

No. Subway doesn't taste good, but it is supposedly fresh. But I would definitely eat a Portillo's beef over Thanksgiving turkey.

Amusing. More people should be creative with attributing quotes...I'm sure some of the more witty posts could hit some home runs.

Chipotle sales down 30% in December. Only so much IMU could do.

... Chipotle said sales trends "may be significantly influenced by further developments." ...

Chipotle also disclosed in the filing that it was "served with a Federal Grand Jury Subpoena from the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in connection with an official criminal investigation being conducted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, in conjunction with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Office of Criminal Investigations."

It added: "The subpoena requires us to produce a broad range of documents related to a Chipotle restaurant in Simi Valley, California, that experienced an isolated norovirus incident during August 2015."

The company said it couldn't yet estimate any penalties it might incur related to this investigation.
...

The refried bean counters ain't gonna like that.

 That's pretty awesome, but they don't even have refried beans at Chipotle, do they?

I have no real problem with Chipotle. It is what it is. But the Chipotleization of the entire fast food industry is kind of annoying.

Haven't you noticed how many places are modeling themselves on Chipotle?

It's a little more specific than that. Three or four menu sections with various choices, etc.

Naf Naf Grill is a prime example. Naansense is another. (I went to high school with the owner)

I like that. You don't need a huge menu always. Do one or two things very well.

This, I completely agree with.

I don't agree with Chipotle's Listeria Burrito option, though.

GEDDIT?!

I went to Maharaja yesterday. Made sure our guy knew to keep the baskets of naan coming. We went through more naan than anything at the buffet I think.
