I don't worship them. I don't kiss them.

But you assume all Catholics worship pics or images of saints. Odd.

No answer on the Hail Mary?

I'm going to guess because most of the prayer is right out of the Scriptures that you claimed Catholics don't read.

I know that graven images are part of Catholicism. They're in every church I've ever been in.

As for the Hail Mary, why are you praying to her? Why not pray to Tall Midget for intercession? I think Matthew 12:46-50 says it all. What's your interpretation?

I'm not sure why you're so defensive. Catholicism is only loosely based on The Bible. It willfully ignores certain parts that are very clear.

and I ask you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the lord, our god.

If he would, I would ask Tall Midget to intercede on my behalf. I pray for people every day and I ask to be prayed for.

I'm defensive?

Just stop yourself.

I'm asking a guy who has spent the better part of the last 3 years railing against what he has called "misinformation", to back up his own misinformation that he has posted here.

And like the great Dr Fauci, JORR is stating his opinions as facts.

Your ignorance is vincible. Most of the answers you are looking for, can be found here.

Jorr doesn't realize he is the dumbest guy on the board.

You're really not defensive, huh?

I'm not criticizing Catholicism here. I'm simply making observations. So what is the "misinformation" you feel I'm imparting?

I've been to plenty of Catholic masses- though admittedly not as many as you- and I would never say that scripture, although usually cited, is the centerpiece of the Catholic faith, although it's obviously a basis.

The New Covenant is summed up very simply in John 3:16. How often is that verse a focal point in a Catholic mass? How often does a Catholic priest mention Jeremiah 31 or Hebrews 8?

That's fine. But you're underlining my point. The Penitential Rite is not Biblical.

I'll ask this, have you ever heard a Catholic derisively refer to a Protestant as a "Bible thumper"?

The rite is biblical and has its origins in the Old Testament.

And when protestants don't have sacred tradition or a coherent magisterium for guidance, it makes sense they may be referred to as "Bible Thumpers."

If Catholics were truly the best, they wouldn't have to work so hard trying to convince the masses. Outside of the rapes, I can't recall the Catholic Church being mentioned in my house or places of worship. Why? Likely because everyone knew they were beneath us. #NotLikeUs

I think that he presents as someone who understands that within every major religion there supposed leaders who use the power of their pastoral office for personal power trips and things that are outside what they are legitimately not supposed to do and even at cross purposes with their doctrine. In my view, Pope Francis and many other liberal woke church leaders fall in that category. :fish: :fish: :fish:

When TM can get Jesus to turn water into wine by simply asking, get back to me.

I don't think that's exactly how it went down in John 2:4.

Mary was complaining, as biological women are wont to do, that the wine ran out at the wedding. An obviously annoyed Jesus said something like, "Woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” But then he whipped up some Syrah anyway just to make her happy.

If Midget were badgering him when he wanted to hit the dance floor, he'd probably perform a miracle to shut him up too.

So Mary simply stated an observation, that all the biological men had somehow missed. and got Jesus to perform a miracle before his time had come, and all you got is "meh!!?"

Some people are tough to please.

Would it help you to ponder how long it took the men just to draw 120 gallons of water from a well and place it in stone jars?
