Tua will probably outperform Love next year. I need to see what happens for the rest of this season.

It's just easier though for you to set the over/unders on Love and then I can choose which sides I am taking.

It's not easier

It's equally as easy to just bet on Tua vs Love in whichever categories we agree on. But that would require you actually believing Tua is better, which you don't seem to now that I offered a wager on it.

Doesn't Tua win this year in those categories 3-2? So Tua is better this year correct?

I think Love was better than Tua this year, based on watching a lot of football. Can't bet on the eye test though, so I just came up with a few stats to bet on.

So can I assume you are officially not standing behind your Tua is obviously better than Love take and refusing to find any bet on the matter? Just want to confirm the words were holllow before I finalize any wager with Bagels.

Tua is better than Love based on the 5 statistics you randomly chose.

So I'll stick with that Tua was better than Love this year because you made that argument based on the statistics you chose.

The season isn't even over yet. Tua could pull an RGIII and derail his whole career with an injury. He could even get the same Super Bowl loser curse than seems to have hit Jalen Hurts.

I get you don't like my list of at least 14 quarterbacks that Love is either worse than or equal to but "IF YOU DON'T BET ON TUA NEXT YEAR BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS EVEN START THEN YOU AREN'T A MAN OF YOUR WORD!" is just a lame attempt to deflect from what has already been decided in terms of how we will bet on Love for next year.

Injury stipulations would of course come with any wager we agreed on.

So you are confirming that you don't actually believe any of the shit you are saying here, at least in the sense that you won't back it up with money. I guess we have to take any of your takes with a grain of salt going forward knowing you dont actually believe them.

Tua vs. Love on QBR ? For 50, or you insist on 100?

That's fine, they sort of had opposite seasons. Tua was much better than Love the first 7 weeks, Love was much better than Tua the last 10 weeks. That's a big reason why I think Love is better and will be going forward (Tua is also playing with a WR who is an MVP candidate so that probably helps the numbers a bit).

Let me know when you post a list of QBs better than Love that you actually believe to be true so we can wager on it.

So to sum it up:
Your list of quarterbacks better than Love in 2023-2024 is only valid if those quarterbacks are also better than Love in 2024-2025 and you are allowed to pick any quarterback on the list you want to predict a regression for and it invalidates your list unless you are willing to bet money on the player I cherry picked.

No I think you have it wrong. To sum it up, you posted a list of QBs who are obviously better than Jordan Love. There were multiple QBs on the list I think you are wrong about, and I would say Love is better than. I offered to back my opinion up with a wager, you refused to back your opinion up. So we can conclude I believe what I am posting here, and you do not. You are just trolling, which I can respect, but deep down know that I am right.

You mean the categories that said that in 2023 that Tua was better than Love?

So if 2024 Tua also won those categories 3-2 would I be right that Tua is better?

Maybe. I think I just have a more nuanced view on it than you do. Well that and I also believe what I am saying and we found out today you don't.

How about 1,000 on int % or make a bet on qb record. Surely the youngest team in the nfl will only win more games next year

gotta believe

That’s decent value. Should throw some health contingencies on it though.

Since you broke it down to 8-10 what QB's are you knocking off this list? Need to remove 3-5 of them.
Tua
Goff
Prescott
Allen
Purdy
Mahomes
Stroud
Lamar
Cousins
Burrow
Herbert
Hurts

1K was on int % but I'm not betting 1K on anything

I'll go 100 on both, min 13 games to start (closer to 75% of games on a schedule) for either or play is canceled. Can't cherry pick one or the other. Must play both

1K was on int %

I would not bet 1k on just INT%. Love is more in the favre gunslinger mold than the ultra careful rodgers mold. It would not surprise me if he had a higher INT% than a game manager like Tua. I think overall his stats will be better hence willing to bet on things like QBR, QB rating, etc. I think GB will be better than Miami so I'm ok betting on record too.

Love's contract will also be higher than Tua's. He's better, and will be paid as such.

He may be paid more, but you may not be so happy about it.

I'm very comfortable with a Love future as an opponent.

We aren't even saying equal. You are saying Love is better than Purdy.

$1,000 on who has a better record between Tua and Love next year? Deal. What's the minimum games played stipulation? Like 14?

1K was on int % but I'm not betting 1K on anything

I'll go 100 on both, min 13 games to start (closer to 75% of games on a schedule) for either or play is canceled. Can't cherry pick one or the other. Must play both

I agree to those terms.

He had his ups and downs, but he finished strong. Id say he is hovering around QB10 right now, and he and the team are looking really promising. We will see what he does in the playoffs, that's really where the rubber meets the road. I know there aren't 14 QB's id rather have than him at this point.

I like how you went from "brick be brick'n" to "He's not 14th but probably more like 10-12th".

not following you - i said he was around 10. i never said 10-12, and if anything id lean more towards 8-10 the way he has played lately. You said he was 15th, and you could easily provide a list of 14 better.

I said you can easily get to a list of QBs as good or better than him up to 14. So yeah, we can argue if Love is better or worse than Baker Mayfield and Russel Wilson but I think the fact that we have to helps prove my point.

Since you broke it down to 8-10 what QB's are you knocking off this list? Need to remove 3-5 of them.
Tua
Goff
Prescott
Allen
Purdy
Mahomes
Stroud
Lamar
Cousins
Burrow
Herbert
Hurts

I would say there is an argument to be made that Tua, Cousins, or Stroud are not hands down better than Love right now. Now I said it earlier and I will say it again, his ability to rise up under the bright lights and deliver plays a role to me, and we really don't know that with him or Stroud or even Tua. Is Purdy hands down better? He could be better, but I wouldn't say that's a slam dunk. Goff? maybe.

Tua vs. Love on QBR ? For 50, or you insist on 100?

Nah 50 is cool. Just QBR?

How about 1,000 on int % or make a bet on qb record. Surely the youngest team in the nfl will only win more games next year

gotta support the cause

We aren't even saying equal. You are saying Love is better than Purdy.

Yeah I don't think they are equal. I think Brock is pretty good but I am certain Love is better.

The argument would be that Brock is benefitting from the best surrounding offensive talent in the NFL. We have seen QBs we know are bad like Jimmy G and Nick Mullens have a lot of success in the same system. The only QB in a similar system to Love recently is Aaron Rodgers, and 2023 Love outperformed 2022 Rodgers.

As I said from the start, there are arguments with the list that Love is as good as some of them. There aren't really compelling arguments that he is better than any of them.

I think a lot of it is because people act like Love is a rookie.

*looks up Nick Mullens stats*
*rereads "Nick Mullens ha(d) a lot of success in the same system"*
