I dunno. Ask Charlamagne

Stopped reading after this. This is like saying the difficulties that Mitch faces are entirely causally explained by exogenous factors in the form of TV's turned on in the clubhouse, Mahomes supremacy, and Nagy's playbook.

I don't think IMU was ever technically/semantically an incel, it's more like he's prolly banged a fair amount of people we wouldn't even ascribe a #/ranking to...

...and I bet at least one or two were post-op!

IMU's politics have been socially liberal/fiscally conservative for as long as I can remember. You and I have both changed more than he has.

He likes his anti-anonymity stance but he's also an admin of a site that's being monitored by the FBI because he's let one particular poster go wild posting terror threats. I'm sure he doesn't want to deal with those kinds of repercussions in his personal life should they ever get called into the forefront.

A lot folks have that political philosophy that it seems like a natural for politicians to build a coalition in that way. But then again, I think fiscal conservative sounds nice up until the point you either cut military spending or raise taxes to balance a budget....

The "balanced budget" scenario won't be in play in our lifetime. And our children's.

Most states have true balanced budgets. Clinton balanced it. Obama was closing in on it. My damn Republicans just keep prioritizing tax cuts and military spending over fiscal sanity. That being said, the corporate tax code needed a revamp to fix major flaws in the global tax regime. Then again, entitlements are off budget and on auto pilot with fake (read cash flow) accounting that makes them look to be in balance. Medicare under true accounting is about $40 trillion in the hole according to the treasury’s financial disclosures.

We need to be spending two or three times what we currently spend on defense. If there's one massive failure of the republicans, its that. The military is woefully underfunded and undersupplied.

That's hard to imagine if we're currently spending more than every other country combined.

The Chinese problem doesn't just go away because the USA is deciding to instead focus on how much domestic dysfunction it has. China is still the defining issue of our times.

The answer to the problem is not throwing more mountains of money at defense.

China is expanding their reach around the world as we isolate ourselves.

The answer is diplomacy and development of positive business and political relationships with the rest of the world.

...and what do you think the F-35 program is? Really, at its core why do you think that aircraft exists and why are we selling it to literally anyone with the money?

It’s really quite sad. He’s asked to speak to the manager dozens of times over this and they clearly don’t give a fuck.

This is hilariously wrong. We need to spend defense money smarter. We don’t need to spend more. Spending 2-3x what we currently produce will just increase inefficient and wasteful spending and would literally be the equivalent of throwing hundreds of billions of dollars into an incinerator.

Uh hey fellas for every dollar you spend on the military you get to print five more.

Now let's lay down some keels and double the size of that carrier fleet.

Military-industrial complex saves lives by developing low collateral ordinance.

If you cant put a dollar figure on a human life saved, then whatever development went into this weapon is priceless.

This is is easily one of the worst posts in the history of the board.

Same logic as it applies to entitlements and healthcare...you don't solve a spending problem by throwing gas on the fire. The military is a bloated, inefficient mess. The cure is not "more money".

Spend a trillion on the military -> print five trillion with the fed. No inflation, no games.
