Of course daddy the coach puts his tiny son in there to pitch the clinching inning. The kid looks like a punk even at that young age. Spitting all over the place because he sees it on TV. I played HS baseball. I never once had the urge to spit, chew tobacco or grab crotch.
He had to put someone in. The 6'2 200 lb mvp had reached the strictly enforced pitch count. Kid was probably just spitting seeds. If it was the SS from earlier in the game he was making some sick efforts on a few plays that he came up short on.
The IL pitcher let the wheels fall off and his demeanor towards his teammates when they made a mistake set a tone....from the perspective of watching on tv. That catcher seemed like he was on eggshells trying to not make a mistake after that wp or pb in the 1st. When the next pitcher came in he made a nice play at home and he had a perfect throw on a dropped 3rd that nailed the batter who looked like he might get there. \ There just kids though...hopefully they learn something from the awesome run they made and keep it going into the next level. Hopefully 42 keeps playing ball and doesn't give it up for basketball which they said he is very good at as well. He looked legit.
