And you'd lose. By like 4 TDs.

Ah ok. Too bad it's never going to happen so we'll never be able to prove exactly how silly this conversation really is.

 Ok that's fair, but I am still right. Favre was awful looking 3 years ago and he ain't younger or faster or less hillbillyish.

Favre was plenty mobile when he was younger.

He played in the Bears present offense his entire career.

He can still throw better sitting on his ass then Jordan Palmer can standing up.

No argument there. I just think he would be less awful than guys like Weeden, Freeman, and Gabbert. Still would be more hillbillyish though, I would think.

How could you know that? He hasn't thrown a ball since 2010.
Shit he's already complaining about the effects of the concussions he took.

i think it's sadly true in this NFL that favre could start a game...and because QB's can't really get hit anymore, he probably could finish one.

the list of available QB's is ridiculously bad.

what's stupid is that gottlieb most likely thought he was being clever in saying what he did. and really, there is no reason to talk about favre coming back because he's not going to.

farve would be OK, but doubtful he could play a full game without getting hurt.

i don't know if kurt warner can read anymore with all the blurriness that's probably going on inside that cranium. he probably isn't even the best available grocery bagger.

Yeah, it was pretty good.

Who knew the exhibition season provided such drama?

Past experience watching Favre.

Hell, Carson Palmer sucks. I don't want to see that second best QB Ma Carson gave birth to.

yeah that was pretty much what I was saying.

I didn't realize it was going to cause Darko such a reaction.

I hate Favre, but I still think it is true.

I think Jeff Garcia could still be a serviceable QB.

FF, you cearly have forgotten how bad Farve was his last year with the Vikings. No way he is better than half the QBs in the league right now. If we're taking a retired QB and putting him on the Bears for the MNF game, give me Kurt Warner.

Doesn't he have a busted shoulder as well? His arm strength was nil his last season or two. He was also terrible with the Vikings and he's 44 years of age.

Dude is toast.

The year he threw for 4000 yds his shoulder was nil?

Or the following year when he threw for 2500 playing hurt and with a number of injuries to his wide outs?

This morning, Boomer Esiason dropped some real knowledge. He said that good fantasy football QBs for this week are: Drew Brees, Matt Stafford, and Tony Romo. The guys who are #2, #6, and #9 among QBs in a standard scoring format. He also said that the Bengals and Saints are good D/ST options this week, because they face rookie QBs.

Thanks, Boomer.

I haven't forgotten anything. I'd counter by saying you must not be paying attention to how bad some of the current QBs are. You just can't come up with a decent argument saying Gabbert or Weeden is better than current Favre. They are Craig Krenzel/Jonathon Quinn bad.
