Your avatar certainly approves of this number.

I almost forgot I changed it. I thought at first you were taking a jab at Dolph Lundgren.

He'd kill me faster than Apollo.

Oh, thought it was 74 in a month.

Yeah 74 in a week, even in Vegas with someone bringing you the drinks for free, would be tough.

I also thought 74 in a month. 74 in a week would be difficult at any age on a consistent basis.

Trying to think of my dad at his worst and even then 74 a week would be pushing it. As T-Sam says, that has to be unemployed drink all day people. I dont think a functioning alcoholic can get there.

I think they could. I've seen them, but it's pushing it. That's basically 10+ a day. Liquor drinkers could get there and still wake up, but I think you could probably tell.

My dickhead of a grandpa probably did 10 a day. He was often passed out at his desk by late afternoon, but he'd rally for a few drinks at home!

It's really something how these guys that hit it hard everyday can rally when necessary. I had a business partner who would put away at least a bottle and a half of Merlot at lunch everyday. One day we had an important conference call in the afternoon. I went into his office and he was sleeping. I said, "Hey, you know we've got that thing..." He slurred, "Yeah, just put the file on my desk and gimme another ten minutes." I swear after that ten minutes he spun his chair around and he was as fresh as a daisy. He blew those motherfuckers away in that call. Just unbelievable.

Cocaine?

This. 74 isn't really that hard if you are drinking hard liquor and are drinking daily.

When I used to work construction for a highway department, we would all bring a lunch pale and thermos. There was an old, HUGE dude who would stop every morning, buy a 5th of vodka, and dump it into his thermos. He drank it straight, all day. He was a grump in the morning, but he worked his butt off. He cleared this hurdle easily. Probably doubled it. I think he's still around. Some people just have the makeup for it, I guess.

74 doesn't necessarily mean 74 actual beers, though. A higher ABV brew could mean 60 of those would equate to 74 "drinks." Same goes for hard alcohol. That monster Jack and Coke you made could actually be considered five drinks.

No, I'm not saying it would. Just thinking of people trying to imagine someone going through three cases of beer in a given week. Just trying to clarify.

Like last night, I split three beers with a buddy and had one by myself. Ounces wise, that's 2.5 beers. I just punched it into a converter, and I actually had 3.8 drinks.

Wade Boggs drinks 2 cases of Miller Lite per day. At least.

It's Nas, all those damn crazy comments have driven me to drink 74 drinks in a day.

In the early 1990's (during law school), I was cranking down at least eighty (80) beers per week.

I am now retired.

In short I will be making up for your deficiencies, CSFMB.
