Cheating in sports and in every other part of life is common. We all probably knowingly break rules everyday because we believe it's easier.

So you are saying that Brady and Belichek are doing what every other person in the NFL is doing, but they are just bad/dumb enough at it to keep getting caught?

I sorta believe that could be true. Except for the Bears, they wouldn't know how.

What is true:
Every team cheats?
Or only the patriots are dumb enough to get caught repeatedly?

I'm not sure if they got caught. We will find out soon. I agree with everything else.

True. Not the best example.

This cheating thing is ridiculous.
I've long lobbied that Manning is going down as the greatest ever, but I've seen the light. Yes, Brady plays in an offensive friendly era, but Montana played in a time where SF could buy a championship roster...and they did!. Those SF teams were stacked beyond stacked...as were those Cowboys teams.

As much as I hate all things Boston for sports, Brady is undeniably the greatest.

I would give Montana a slight edge over Brady.

Montana won his first two Super Bowls without Jerry Rice. He was throwing to Dwight Clark and Freddie Solomon, not exactly HOFs.

The backfield in his first Super Bowl were guys like Ricky Patton and Earl Cooper.

Montana also had mobility in his younger years, he could beat you with his legs like he did against the Dolphins in Super Bowl 19.

Montana had a 11-0 TD/int ratio and had an yards per attempt of 9.36 in his Super Bowls, (take away the Super bowls with Jerry Rice and it was still 8.56) Brady i believe has a 6.5 ypa.

I always felt Manning and Marino were the two best passers, while guys like Montana and Brady were the best winners. Marino never had a defense or running game to go along with his tremendous passing stats. Since Marino won nothing, people will not include him in the best ever category. I watch Brady and do not think best ever, but it is hard not to be awed by his body of work.

Their offensive linemen held, knew they held, and instead of reporting their holding to the referee, they got away with it.

Rich people exploit tax loopholes.

Please list the way that rich people exploit tax loopholes.

Ummm, I can't because I haven't seen nor do I have access to their IRS filings.

We will accept examples of your own exploitation of the common resources.

I am happy to explain mine. My income is subject to AMT tax. As such, the only deductions I get to use are the home mortgage interest deduction and the reduced AMT reduction (subject to phase out). I cannot deduct state income taxes, property taxes, and I lose all four personal exemptions. And don't even get me started on my ISO's.....sigh.

At what point do you lose personal exemptions?

Easier if you just asked me how much I make? :)

Under the AMT, you cannot use personal exemptions. Without the AMT (regular tax code), they start phasing out at $305k for married. I will be stuck with the AMT.

They didn't field a competitive team and gave the ball away a lot. Not so much cheating for them, but helping out the other guys.

I would take Bellichek before a QB. He could somehow defy all the odds and make a SB with Jay Cutler.

The structure of the league made it easy for a guy like Montana and the 49ers. I do not believe they had a salary cap back then and free agency was not around for a large part of his career. Brady has played with 1 elite receiver for a year and he put up video game numbers. I'm not sure if Brady is the GOAT but what he has accomplished is more impressive than what Montana did.

We can say without a doubt that he is better than Peyton Manning. I'm satisfied with that.

Who wins; Brady vs 85 Bears? I'll hang up and listen for my answer...
