Well they dragged a male teacher out of my kids' HS yesterday. Police investigation, administrative leave, no comments but news caught the initial wind. Kid says sex with a girl. Heard weird things. Strange or we just hear more nowadays?

When I was in HS in early 80's several students were banging teachers male and female. Don't ask don't tell. We smoked a lot of pot and drank like we were silly though. Different times. No 24 hr news cycle and no social media. Much better for playing around.

I think it's the cell phones. People sleep with the damn things. So if a teacher gets a student's cell phone info, they have a direct line to interact with them at all hours and in a intimate, private way.

I went out with a teacher once, must've been spring freshman year? Cuz basketball was over, so I was home doing fuck-all on a Friday night. Miss K. She was drunk and wanted someone to hang out with. My dad answered the phone and decided it was a good way to get me out of the house on a Friday night so he could smoke without having to go outside.

There was a teacher at my school who had a girlfriend in each senior class. This wasn't some good looking, young guy but he still had them pretty much applying for the position. Not one of those girls is worse for the wear now. I will say that each of them was a little mental beforehand and he most likely was lining them up since freshman year in a predatory manner.

I think it's always been there...It happened back in the 80's at my HS.

Cell phones and Social Media change everything. They make it easier to happen and also make it easier to get busted.
