Does anyone really think elite skill position players would want to play on a team with Tebow firmly cemented as QB? These guys want to win, but they also want their stats and they want their money. I don't think guys are going to enjoy sharing 4 catches and 38 yards through 3 and a half quarters of a game.

To be fair, that's as much on Fox as it is Tebow.

It's easy to follow the crowd & go along with the popular opinion that "TEBOW SUCKS".
I prefer to form my own opinions.
Like all of us, something I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong.
No big deal. Our opinions on these matters don't really matter much anyway.
ITS FOOTBALL MISTER!

Popular opinion???
Have you been watching ESPN?
Must've missed the Go Tebow signs at yesterday's game. The cheers as he entered the stadium.
I don't know what the percentages are for vs. against, but I don't believe it's one-sided.
The lead story on First Take isn't the World Series, Oklahoma's uspet loss, Indy's embarrasing loss, Green Bay staying unbeaten or the Wisconsin-MSU game -- it's a game between a two-win team and a winless NFL squad.
I love how those who like Tebow personify those who raise questions about the QB's talent as "haters" -- not the first to pen this on this board.
He seems like a nice enough guy -- fine. You just cannot discount what happened the first three-plus quarters, the opponent the botched hands team effort, OT turnover and a 52-yard field goal -- and try to pin the win solely on Tebow's shoulders.
When Skip Bayless is in your corner, you've got to feel a little unsure about your opinion.

The most intriguing scenario is that Urban Meyer takes over the Dolphins & acquires Tebow as his QB.
As a guy who prefers the college game over the pros due in part to the diversity of offensive styles in NCAA football, this would be great for the NFL in my opinion, & would certainly be great for Tebows NFL career.

If the 'offensive styles' you speak of would work in the NFL, they would be in use. The offense Florida ran during Tebow's career would do little more than get him killed on an NFL field.

That's what they said about the crazy idea of the forward pass.
There are some football types who think that the NFL game will look more like the college game in coming years, not to the point where we will ever see the Air Force Falcons triple option, but I think a little variety is good.

If it were possible to ignore him I'd wholeheartedly agree. Unfortunately it's not. As to those who will continue to insist that Fox/CBS/the NFL are largely responsible for his high profile, consider that without Tebow & his parents continually on their soapbox back to his frosh year @ Florida, a very considerable part of what is commonly known about his "private" life would still be unknown. And that he would not be the irritant (imo) that he has become.

While I agree that everyone deserves a shot, the thing about Tebow & his merry band of Kool-aid drinkers most cannot stomach is the sense of absolute (higher ordered?) entitlement he/they seem to possess. He played a decent four minutes against one of the worst teams in football and now is entitled to start the remainder of the season?!? I've always wondered how much of a shot they think he's entitled to. More than Toretta? Tee Martin? Any title winning QB from Alabama over the last 20 yrs.?

I just am expecting for him to fail, follow the lead of the rest of the loudly pious and blame others for his failures.

Why do you expect that? Has he ever blamed anyone else in the past for one of his poor performances?

No, he hasn't blamed anyone else (except the overwhelming majority of NFL scouts for their myopia), but he's young. I'd actually love to be wrong and that he will succeed/fail with modesty. Again, he's young and the young can(and usually do) make dramatic changes. Let's check back in 3 years.

I'd seriously let him play the rest of the season.

Week 08 Detroit Lions (5-2)
Week 09 @ Oakland Raiders (4-3)
Week 10 @ Kansas City Chiefs (3-3)
Week 11 New York Jets (4-3)
Week 12 @ San Diego Chargers (4-2)
Week 13 @ Minnesota Vikings (1-6)
Week 14 Chicago Bears (4-3)
Week 15 New England Patriots (5-1)
Week 16 @ Buffalo Bills (4-2)
Week 17 Kansas City Chiefs (3-3)

I predict they end the season 4-12.

The media is a joke with trying to convince us every player has a unique story or is such a nice guy. Last night, they were touting Josh Hamilton for his personal turnaround, and I kept thinking of all those Deadspin pictures of him partying with multiple chicks. I just don't care about their personal narrative. We've all been burned by believing these guys are "perfect", ala Michael and Tiger. People are flawed, all of them. I only care if they entertain me on the field.

As bad as Denver is, their remaining games include 7 games against teams with a horrible defense.
They'll win a few of these games.

yeah, maybe.........but he is doing what you said he had "no chance" of ever doing.

they invested a lot in him. i would be surprised if they don't give him every opportunity to keep the reins for the rest of the year. its not like this team has a playoff seed on the line. you think they are going to pull the plug on him to get started in the brady quinn years?

The one thing I took away from last night about Tebow is, say what you want about his talent, the guy has a pretty solid attitude. I mean they have websites now making fun of the way the guy prays, other players are mocking him, analysts are asking him to explain how he can be so bad and still win, and the kid takes pics with people "Tebowing" and answers every question, even the insulting ones.

He does seem like a pretty good dude.

That's true.

I think most of the "hatred" is misdirected.

It should go to the networks for inflating his importance.

When Vick started he was an asshat who couldnt throw well but could run and won games and he was labeled a future hall of famer.
Tebow is a nice guy who cant throw well but can run and win games and he is mocked and hated.
ESPN sucks.
B&B and haters suck.
Cam Newton will be better than both combined.

Like Mike Maiock? What a douche he was last night. He said, and I quote, "There isn't an offense in the league that is harder to prepare for, than Denver."

I guess THIS GUY hasn't heard of Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Tom Brady.

When Tebow ran for the TD to take the lead, he said, "there is something magical about this kid". Their defense scored almost as much as the offense.

My main beef with this issue is the postgame reaction. If the Broncos win, it's because of Tebow. When they lose, it was a team loss. Those who like Tebow blamed the O-line and the defense in the Lions' loss. Garbage! Tebow had a pick six and was flat-out horrible.
Denver won the game last night -- not just Tebow. That pick six helped. The Jets defense made mistakes on the last drive.
As for Tebow, he hasn't completed at least 50 percent of his passes in one start this season.
He's helping the team win. His performance on the field just isn't the main reason for the wins -- even though he continues to get most of the credit.

He's a better QB than Tebow.
Also, Orton is much better now than he was with the Bears -- when the "He just wins games" title was his.
Orton is 6-21 in his last 27 starts, and I think he received too much of the blame. Maybe that's karma -- since he received too much of the credit when he was with the Bears.
