Anyone who went into the mortgage biz during the housing bubble came out of it unemployable, as ex-mortgage brokers have fewer marketable skills than ex-DMV workers.

David Hochberg is gonna be piiiiiiiissed.

yea, if they were selling, and good salesmen, then they landed on their feet post-bubble. a lot of peeps got into the mortgage broker biz during the bubble and all they did was push paper. no sales skills required.

We hired several of the technical processing staff from that industry. We got people with amazing time management skills because the mortgage industry is so deadline focused. The mortgage brokers themselves are mainly sales folk. Some have tried to morph into financial planners, which won't work out well. The ones I've met try to get you to mortgage your house to the max and invest it in the stock market.

Jeez... What bothers me most is every time an argument arises with a hard line conservative they automatically start throwing out words like libtard. It's like they've been programmed with the 'this or that' mantra for so long they can't see any other perspective. Reminds me of the embrace debate antics of ESPN.

I think these shut in types are glued to conservative talk radio and it makes them batty.

It is a really funny medium if you listen to it for a little while for comedic relief.

I loved it as well.

I thought it was incredibly effective when they cut to celebrities who explained some of the concepts. I started to understand some of this stuff on the second viewing. I understood the underlying real estate and mortgage issues but not the aggregation of the loans

One time driving from IL back to ND I was flipping through the AM stations, and ended up on Glenn Beck. I couldn't imagine listening to that shit day after day. You would think the fucking world is ending. The fanatic zealotry reminds me of Alex Jones.

The Conservative brain (the nutty ones) love the names (i.e. Libtard). I see Liberals use them occasionally but not nearly as often. It's strange.

These people are impossible to argue with. They are only looking at the surface for their arguments. "People who riot, loot and destroy properties are criminals and I don't know and don't care why they are doing it so they are wrong and if you try to understand them, listen to them or anything then all you do is enable them." The thing is, that line of thinking just results in a perpetual cycle with no end.

When somebody used the words libtard, leftist, or democrook, I immediately think the person is insane.

That's because Republicans are staunch. You never hear a Democrat described as staunch.

Every so often Limbaugh goes on vacation  and the snotty Mark Steyn with his British accent replaces him to complain about the state of America from his home in NH, not far from the Canadian border is always a must listen for me. Especially when the Uhmerica First  dittoheads call in to discuss their "shared experiences" with him.

The same reason that you hear RINO, but never DINO. If you go off message at all, you are an outcast. Remember how much heat Chris Christie got for hugging Obama, after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the NY and NJ shore? No room for free thought in that party.

Well... that's a bit broad brushish.

Even you "normal" Conservatives have to admit that the weird far Right has a cultish feel. You have idiots on the Left (Julie DiCaro, for example), but they typically argue one specific cause that can be very different from other Leftists. The crazy Righties all seem to sound alike. "Libtards, Democrooks, Politically Correct, George Soros, etc etc." Every Conservative talk show is the same as all the others.

It would be much funnier if Obama was a myth, Hillary was a Muslim and Global Warming was a murderer. Maybe not that last part. And don't forget Sharia Law. That's important. 'Mericuh!

Its much easier to just point and laugh when you see a Conservative. We don't need to come up with names.
