Stupid ass comment on your part. He didn't have a choice, it's obvious. He was at Netflix's mercy and Norm wants this thing to work.

I saw 2 episodes of Norm's show on Netflix, w/ Chevy Chase and Micheal Keaton, and boy does this show really suck. And I"m a big Norm fan too.

General opinion from Norm Nation is that the move from an hour to a half hour really hurt it, and there's way too much producing going on. Norm is quite skilled in off-the-cuff badinage, but when you only have a half hour, there's no time for it. Overall, I was dissapointed, but there are little gems in there that make them worth watching -- for example in the Keaton episode, the "life is fair" joke is pretty good.

If this includes editing, I totally agree.

This show is waaay different than NML on YouTube.

Yes, the editing kills the whole vibe of the show. And half of these episodes Egret doesn't even need to be there -- some guests (the comedians mostly) know how to use him, but when it is Fonda or Judge Judy, his whole thing is just gone. The cold opens are gone which were great, the jokes are vastly reduced (in some episodes, why bother with them at all?)

That being said, I think if they tweaked it for Season 2, they would have something... and it seems the layperson enjoys it:

Love Norm and most of his work. His new show is very bad. A few great moments and mostly shit.
