I feel the same way he does. To be fair any team can go belly up in the playoffs. The Cubs are having a record breaking season so far and I'm enjoying it.

I want to know why he can't root for a team that hasn't won in 107 years. Makes no sense.

He's right about everything else though. They can't hit good pitching and guys like Lester and Lackey rely more on their command than their stuff at this point in their career's. Arrieta is the only starter with electric stuff but he no longer knows where the ball is going when it leaves his hand.

It's probably the Giants' year again.

It's his way of saying he can't bet on them without actually saying it.

Lester's stuff is still pretty good. 1 ER or less in his last 7 of 9 starts or something like that.

You have faith in him to get it done in the playoffs?

Why not us this year?

I understand the trepidation we as a fandom feel when it comes to the Cub, but now, more than ever, it's time to let that sinking sensation go. We've got a good young team to root for who unless something tragic (looking at you Hannah Stubbs) happens, should be in the playoff picture for the foreseeable future.

What more can you ask of your team?

I don't really hate the Cubs. But it's hard being faced with Cub fan privilege everyday. If I were a Cub fan I'd actually feel good that this loser was betting against them.

I want you and Walt on the bandwagon this year.

You can't root for the Las Vegas White Sox forever.

Kyle Orton just moved up spot on my all time Bear QB ranking list.

Keep this up and I'll find something nice to say about Brian Cardinal.

Fuck that motherfucker. He's one of those guys who seemed like he was at Purdue for ten years and killed the Illini every game. Usually those types of guys are at Indiana. I think Ted Kitchel and Randy Wittman may still be on the Hoosiers roster. But really, shame on Illinois. Somebody in Champaign should have had enough sense to keep him at home.

Agree with Hockey Gay, Cubs pitchers suck and they have no chance this year.

Clearly he's just hoping this upps the odds on the Cubs before he lays his bet.

Q: What are you doing over the summer, Andy?

A: Going back home to Jacksonville and waiting for the NBA draft.

I picture Kaufmann and Kleinschmidt getting together once a week to play H.O.R.S.E.
