He's right about everything else though. They can't hit good pitching and guys like Lester and Lackey rely more on their command than their stuff at this point in their career's. Arrieta is the only starter with electric stuff but he no longer knows where the ball is going when it leaves his hand.

Lester's stuff is still pretty good. 1 ER or less in his last 7 of 9 starts or something like that.

I don't really hate the Cubs. But it's hard being faced with Cub fan privilege everyday. If I were a Cub fan I'd actually feel good that this loser was betting against them.

I understand the trepidation we as a fandom feel when it comes to the Cub, but now, more than ever, it's time to let that sinking sensation go. We've got a good young team to root for who unless something tragic (looking at you Hannah Stubbs) happens, should be in the playoff picture for the foreseeable future.

Fuck that motherfucker. He's one of those guys who seemed like he was at Purdue for ten years and killed the Illini every game. Usually those types of guys are at Indiana. I think Ted Kitchel and Randy Wittman may still be on the Hoosiers roster. But really, shame on Illinois. Somebody in Champaign should have had enough sense to keep him at home.
