I have some friends (they're twins) who were like Mr. Pink re: the tipping thing. It wasn't some conscientious objection like in the movie, they were just plain dumb about it. "If its not a part of the bottom line, then why should i have to pay it?" type shit. It was embarrassing to eat out with them, so it mean't that I always ended up cover their tips cause I'm a Mr. White type guy. This continued until one of them started banging this waitress. He tried pulling that crap when they were out to dinner once and she went nuclear on him. Right there in the restaurant she was making a scene calling him a cheap fuck, and shit. Still didn't click. Later on the ride home she questioned whether his Italian heritage precluded him from being subjected to a certain racial stereotype regarding tipping. He's tipped ever since. So has his brother.

I had a long standing argument with my friend about this. We watched the scene over and over again.

Joe pulls the gun and holds it on Orange. White pulls his gun and points at Joe. Nice Guy Eddie then draws and holds it on White. Orange never fires in this final scene and Pink is hiding.

Joe shoots first at Orange, White shoots Joe and is immediately shot by NGE but then White shoots NGE before he hits the ground.


In my mind, I like to think that Pink someone got away from the police shootout we faintly hear off screen and is living on a beach somewhere not tipping people and talking about pop songs.

I'm not saying you stiff them to be cheap ... I'm saying I'm not going to reward shit service with 20% because of some mismanaged expectation on someone else's part ... conversely, I think it's a must to reward superior service with more than 20% ... that one broad over at EGV for example ... well you weren't there ... anyway, we had a waitress that was on top of her shit, attentive, all that ... she basically got a 50% tip out of me ... I didn't buy her any drinks so I can't be labeled a good guy IRL but the point being it's not like I don't practice what I'm preaching here.
