The stuff you have to drink tonight tastes fucking horrendous. The massive diarrhea comes on pretty quickly so definetly make sure you are in your home base before you drink it.

As far as the actual day of...they knocked me out for mine. As far as I know, all that happened was I took a little nap. The fasting the day before and the laxative stuff is the really pain in the ass (if you'll pardon the pun).

Prep day is the only 'bad' part about it. It's not even the massive colon blow, it's the stuff you have to drink (although I've heard some doc's only do Mg Citrate which I think is not wise but who knows). And don't be a nancy boy and try to drink your 8 ozs piecemeal ... chug it regardless of the fact that by the 5th time you'll be wishing you had perished yesterday.

They'll tell you to not eat/drink red things ... be smart and avoid any variation of red (e.g., purple, orange). Learn to love chicken broth and clear Gatorade, 7-up, etc. Liquid diet only obviously.

They'll give you Propofol (the Michael Jackson stuff) just before the 'fun' happens in the room, so you'll have zero recollection of the procedure. You should also have little to no pain or discomfort other than you'll probably break wind a few times in the recovery room.

It's one of those things that is no big deal in hindsight ... I mean, unless they find a tumor the size of Boston up there, then perhaps it's a big deal.

Yeah, I tried to drink the laxative stuff piecemeal and it was a mistake. I wish I would have just drank it all in one go and not fucked around with mixing it and whatnot.

The taste was way too similar.

Don Tiny has it right. You won't even know it happened. Drinking that stuff is the bad part. It's like drinking a gallon of someone's spit in a few hours. Chug up!

My doctor's written instructions listed both as okay, the prescription only mentioned apple juice. It seemed odd that coffee would be okay.

I've had two. You get through the prep, it's clear sailing. As was said just a little nap (albeit drug induced). Wake up feeling groggy at first but quick recovery followed by being hungry.

The prep part is fantastic. Cleans you right out. I lost three pounds from start to finish.

You won't even really know anything was done afterward. I had no pain down there, but my stomach had some minor cramping the first couple of days - probably due to reintroducing solid food after none for the past three or so days.
