Having match point three times and losing is inherently worse.

My rooting for Cleveland and the Thunder was all about this. Years from now some idiot would have argued that the Warriors were better.

It had to be a tough choice for Bulls/Jordan fans. Either the Warriors replace the Bulls as the greatest team or LeBron replaces Jordan as the greatest player.

I was consciously thinking about it the whole time. However, LBJ hasn't passed Jordan. The Warriors would have objectively had an argument against the '96 Bulls.

I'm not certain you'll hear that sentiment stated so definitively outside of Chicago and broadcasting booths filled with old guys who got their brains beaten in by Jordan.

No one is saying this. Not even LeBron's inner circle believes this.

Lebron has a lot of work to do to pass Kobe and no one says Kobe is better than Jordan.

No at best you'll hear for Lebron are people saying they're 1a and 1b or in a tier by themselves with Russell. Hell Kobe fans are still circling the wagons on his behalf with the dumb RANGZ argument. Granted they're one of the dumbest stanbases in all sports, but the point is that the untouchableness of Jordan isn't particularly rare or outlandish at this point.

I think you can, without much debate, say that Lebron is now top 50. He's neck-and-neck with Pippen, at a minimum. Yes, I'm willing to go that far.

Does FavreFan still think the Warriors are going to be bigger than the 90s Bulls?

No need to ... unlike those old queens, MJeff, Scottie, et al don't need to work to make themselves believe they're the best ever.
