Call it like you see it. If your Dad is saying this about you, then one has to wonder just how bad it has gotten for Manziel behind the scenes.

He is a big reason why his son is currently a drug addict. Enabled him all of his life.

Apparently, it wasn't so much his dad as it was more likely Uncles and cousins who enabled him. The guy comes from a long line of frauds and criminals.

A parent shouldn't go to the media and call their child a "druggie" and suggest that jail is where they belong for their substance issues.

I agree. I think the father is trying to shame his son into getting help by going to the media and saying this. But that's not gonna work.

I know some people agree with the "shaming" or "kick in the ass" philosophy, but I think that does more harm than good more often than not.

Until you guys are personally dealing with an addicted kid and are at the end of your rope trying to save them you might want to shut the fuck up.

I'm sure you did everything you could, Mike. Everyone here is just spit ballin'. You are clearly a good parent.

Despite his trademark portrayal of happy, well-adjusted characters, Young's bitterness toward Hollywood casting practices never diminished, and he suffered from depression and alcoholism, culminating in a suicide attempt in January 1991.

No, you shut the f*ck up and stop typing.

Don't presume to know what others have been through.

I'll presume what I want. Nothing I read prior to my post had any inkling of firsthand parent experience in the matter.
