Best manager in baseball doesn't need to be hit with a sack of hammers before he makes an obvious change that's for sure .

Maybe their sabermetric machine was on the fritz.

Jokey the Clown Joe Maddon gave it a couple of good whacks with a fungo bat and
figured out 2nd is about the last place to bat Heyward in your lineup:

So, he waits until July 4th, and he gets a shout-out for being decisive, and acting swiftly?

I guess that's what happens when it's nothing but farting rainbows when talking about Maddon.

I did hear some of the game on the radio yesterday. It was funny hearing Pat and Ron complain about some calls, which led to Maddon barking at the umps. The talk about the soft hits, and the homeruns barely clearing the wall made me think I was listening to Hawk.

Yep no one has been critical of Maddon around here at all.

That sounds like a bunch of whiny Cubs' fans during a losing streak. If you think the Maddon tenure has been anything but throwing bouquets and farting rainbows, then you need glasses. Or an MRI.

But then again, RFDC thinks it's only Sox fans ripping on the Cubs and not vice-versa. He might not be good at this baseball thing. At a minimum, he takes Cubs baseball far too seriously.

You said there was no complaining about Maddon.

I showed there was plenty of complaining about Maddon. Hell there is even a Fire Maddon Thread.

Just own the loss and move on.

Once again, I never said it was only Sox fans ripping on Cubs fans.

It no doubt happens both ways.
