I've hated the fan vote since the 80s ... it seemed stupid to me then, it seems 6 weeks past stupid now. At most, let the unwashed masses vote on a reserve for the OF, IF, and two pitchers. Let players and managers vote on the starters, let the AS manager flesh out the reserves (other than the aforementioned token voted-in spots). |

We are looking at the whole performance of the half season. I really can't see which of the Cubs 7 doesn't deserve it. For most of the first half,Zobrist and Fowler were the best players on the Cubs. Lester & Arrieta really deserve it too. |

The only thing that makes this stupid is that the game gives home field advantage I the most important series of them all. How dumb is that? Fucking baseball overreact to a tie game in a meaningless exhibition and this is the bullshit we get. Fan voting is fine. It's a game just for the fans. But the dumbass home field thing is just ridiculous and unnatural and it needs to be stopped. |
