You really have my admiration you old crazy commie! You probably could have had those nuts who were crying for you like teenagers at a Beatles concert burn Philadelphia down last night. Instead you showed yourself as a statesman with a clear focus on the bigger issues. Bravo |

He set up his supporters to do this though by not accepting his loss and instead promising to fight as far as wanting a contested convention. It would be like if Trump came out and said "I want my supporters to start to love and support immigrants". |

Bernie Sanders isn't the movement. He was just a tool for the movement. And now he has betrayed that movement. But it's not really unexpected, is it? |

Sanders was not the movement. I don't think it's entirely fair to call him a fraud or a typical politician for doing what he did. I completely disagree with what he did, but I can't rule out that he genuinely believes that stopping a Trump presidency is more important than "the movement" for the time being. I do, however, disagree with him if that is his conclusion. |

He sees a chance to have a voice in an administration that has a very good chance of winning. |

I just don't believe he'll actually get that voice. Hill will win and the people with the deep pockets that put her there will have the voice. |

I do, however, disagree with him if that is his conclusion. His movement should never have initiated within the ranks of the Democratic establishment. He would have had more credibility as an over thrower if he had remained an independent. Even in defeat he would have attained much more with respect to sustainability. If Hillary is elected the Democratic Party will largely muzzle progressivism. Some of Bernie's ideas are way out. Very few within the party will fight for that. |

I heard some Indiana woman on NPR babbling about Bernie and she was an older lawyer. It seemed like it was almost entirely women. Maybe they are just more gullible to fantasy. |

There was a big thread about how Bill Clinton ruined a lot of things in the name of progress in the 90s. Change for change sake isn't necessarily good. |
