My nominee for most underrated month. While some may not like it for its lack of holidays and perception of being hot, i.e. "dog days" and parents and teachers are freaking out because of the impending start of school, I enjoy it for many reasons: Shortening days make one appreciate summer all the more. Even if it is hot during the day, evenings are mostly still quite comfortable. FOOTBALL MISTER! Baseball heating up. *Combo chorus of cicadas and crickets.
