Because I refuse to unfriend him. I've been tempted recently but I haven't unfriended anyone. Reality is unfriending him won't make thoughts that he has disappeared. I rarely saw him post anything before Trump came onto the scene.

Its really easy to go on Facebook and spout all kinds of thoughts, share videos or memes, etc. Its a lot harder to try to actually educate yourself and ask why things are the way they are and how you can help fix it.

I haven't done the research, but just from my personal view it feels like the Trump campaign has given people a card to be openly racist and/or hateful when before they would only hint at it. Before they would use the code words, like Canadians, when they would talk about this stuff. Now its gone back to using the n word in conversations. The cops in my timelines are the worst. They never have the balls to actually say it on Facebook, but they post the same memes and videos that they talk about IRL when they are more free to use the n word. Not saying this guy on Nas' timeline is like that, just saying that I've noticed a huge uptick in this stuff over the past year or so.
