Most improved version in years. Just traded for Kaepernick to back up Rodgers. |

Play the Moments is great, they finally tuned down the "Aggressive" catch option. |

Is this version really better? I hear that every year, and it's never true. I'd consider getting it. |

It's way better. Very realistic and the franchise mode is more streamlined and expansive as well. |

It is better. On top of everything FF said, the Franchise mode now includes "realistic injuries" (which is just a way of saying "more" injuries, as the afflictions suffered by players tend to get a little ridiculous) which actually forces you to mind your practice squad (new this year) and salary cap situation with regards to backups, upcoming free agents, etc. |

Yeah the injuries are crazy. At one point I had like 9 guys on the medical report. Usually in the past it's never been more than 2-3 guys at one time. |

There was always that moment in the old Madden games where your QB or RB would be twitching on the ground and you had to debate if it was worth resetting the game and playing that one over or if you could still make the magic happen with the backup. |

It depended. Sometimes your back up would have a 99 Throw Power Rating, which made it worthwhile to keep playing. Just throw bombs all game. |

I used to like when the ambulance would come on the field in the old version of Madden. |

Every franchise I do I always get a rookie safety or MLB and play him all year. The worst is when you get a pick six or great play with him and then next drive your rb or whoever gets hurt for the year. Really makes a tough decision |

It has the same AI problem where even the shittiest QB is accurate as fuck and the good ones throw for 500+ yards a week when you simulate. Hell Matt Ryan threw for 600 yards one week. It's like a Bears D simulator where unless you get a good pass rush they complete it every time. I think the game engine has some issues modeling passing because it seems like passes are never just a little off. They never one hop in or are just outside of a guy's reach. 95% of the time someone gets hit in the hands and it's only ever incomplete when the guy gets it knocked out during the catch or it's picked off. |

Try playing with Kaepernick. The hitting a guys hands percentage drops to like 60% |

I always thought Operation Sports had sliders that would increase these realistic passing issues? I think I might try a few of them this year. |

This game is great. My only complaint is that even elite receivers drop the ball too often, but I'd rather have that than last year where you could just come it up to a Julio Jones type and 50% of the time he would catch it over triple coverage. |

I seem to get fucked on a lot of key penalties at key downs. |
