Somehow this decorated general allowed himself to be used and became a disgrace. He clearly didn't have the judgement or the testicular fortitude to be president or Secretary of State.

I'd like to think that he was given a bit of a handshake deal to fall on the sword and after 8 years enough time would have passed and he would get the nod to run. They didn't count on the Iraq War to never end and so he was cut loose to the wind.

I agree. That wasn't a time to be a "good soldier". I man I dislike a lot once said, "There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right." That was the time for Powell and he didn't have the courage to do it.

If she governs that way, I will be pleased. She doesn't talk or present her views that way though.

I'm also concerned about the SCOTUS appointments for both candidates. We need to be taking care of the existing justices as best as we can and hope to ride out the next 4 years :lol:
