Signed off at WGN this weekend after a 43 year run. That's a pretty great career.

Him, Jackie Bange, Rich King, and Jim Ramsey have been anchoring that weekend newscast since I've been like 10 years old.

I took a picture with him and my kids years ago at a Bozo appearance in Rosemont. He was there covering it. He held my daughter & I held my son...very nice man.

honestly, i always found it amazing that he was never one of newper's mustache heroes. if you factor in longevity he's arguably the #1 mustache in the history of chicago, no worse than top-3/5 at the absolute lowest.

My parents were mainstays of his 9pm Sunday newscast, so I'd usually watch a couple of minutes if I was over there visiting. Classy guy. I love what he's doing in his retirement (interviewing Alzheimer patients before they get too bad, so there's an oral history).
