How has this thread not been created?

He was basically left for dead earlier this year, and his best days are behind him, but he got up and crushed a grand slam into the corner in the 8th inning of the NLCS.

Joe Maddon owes this dude because he covered up Joe's horrible decision to remove Lester.

before that at bat i had quipped that "maybe coghlan has a geoff blum fathead on the wall of his mancave" because i thought he was the PH coming up next. if i knew it was montero coming up i woulda said "maybe montero has a geoff blum fathead on the wall of his mancave" because the general idea was that some "nobody" of a PH was in a position to hit a potentially historic HR, and the idea had 100% naturally occurred to me to make that quip.... but then it was montero coming up in coghlan so now i don't have a claim to fame (just like that game-tying kris bryant i totally called/willed-into-existence in the NLDS)

TLDR= i kinda sorta called that shit. don't fuck with a timelord kids!

He is a damn good pinch hitter but he usually just walks.

Most Cub fans I know were complaining about this guy- "Why the fuck is he even on the roster?" But most teams that win get big performances out of unlikely guys at big moments.

That would be me.

He came out to pinch hit and my buddy and I both let out audible groans.
