Many factors surely played a role in this that have nothing to do with interest in the respective Chicago ballclubs or even baseball.

Those ratings in 2005 were fluky.

It has been proven repeatedly beyond a shadow of a doubt that in Cook County and the city the White Sox have an overwhelming majority of the fans. Unfortunately for the Sox a majority of Americans live outside of Cook County and the city of Chicago. That and the media, for obvious reasons, always liking the Cubs more than the Sox could make it appear that the Cubs are the more popular team but alas, in this part of the country, they are not nor probably ever will be.

So you're claiming a Sox win in a popularity contest?

It is impressive how you can continue to say such dumb things repeatedly and truly act like you believe them.

Its not that crazy. The Sox have the city and Cook County. The Cubs have Illinois north of I-70.

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but Frank's endorsement seals the deal for me.

No not really.

I was gonna say....if that's true, then my powers of observation have, like a nonagenarian's testicles, dwindled away to naught. I live at 9500 South, and the Sox only have half my neighborhood.
