After 108 years, the team wins the World Series and the celebration was the biggest ever, with over 5 million fans (largest gathering of people in North American history and 7th largest in World history) attending the parade and gathering in Grant Park. Yet we did not see the looting and vandalism that occurred after the Bulls won championships. Some fans got goofy and climbed poles and jumped into the river and whatnot, but the fans really behaved themselves quite well. Glad to see it.

Not so thinly veiled racist shot...

Good job, Brand. Stay true to yourself, Grand Wizard.

When did the Bulls fans riot after the parade?

In 1992, I was at a Cubs game earlier in the day and we ended up on Division street watching Bulls. Bulls had big comeback...Bobby Hansen hit a three pointer...Bulls went on to win. Crowds poured out into street...I watched cars get flipped over..people jumping on cars. It was pretty ugly. We got out of there fairly quickly. That's just one of their championships & my personal experience.

I was there for every riot, we'd always make our way down to Division St. where some of us would join in with 50 other fans dancing on top of a CTA bus.

For the record, all my riot friends were white.

also for the records I don't believe for a minute that there were 5 million at the parade.

That would be like 50% of the area's population and there's no way 50% of the people in northern Illinois went downtown at the same time and went to the parade.

Sorry, didn't realize you were specifically emphasizing the "after the parade" part. In that case...I have no comment. :-)

Actually, Steve, there was plenty of vandalism and destruction after Game 7 ended. While it wasn't quite a riot or as bad as we saw with the Bulls, your fans were not exempt from acting like morons; http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/11/03/ ... eries-win/
