This election ranked right up there with jumping headfirst into a pool of your own vomit, or getting a shish ka Bob skewer inserted into your penis hole, or getting eaten alive by a pit bull or sitting for an hour with Seacrest.
When it's over and the dust settles and the wave of celebrities move to Canada I'll be thankful I won't have to hear this shit again for... two years? Goddamnit two fucking years and this garbage starts up again?
Fuck!
Fuck!

It's why the Cubs WS run was twice as enjoyable. Good distraction from this shitfest.

... Decency is a fresh palette for Beck, who, at Fox, used to scribble on a chalkboard while launching into conspiratorial rants about looming Weimar-esque hyperinflation, Barack Obama’s ties to radicals with population-cleansing schemes, and a Marxist-Islamist cabal itching to take over America. He once described Clinton as “a stereotypical bitch” and accused Obama of being a racist with a “deep-seated hatred for white people.”

That was the old Beck, he insists: “I did a lot of freaking out about Barack Obama.” But, he said, “Obama made me a better man.” He regrets calling the President a racist and counts himself a Black Lives Matter supporter. “There are things unique to the African-American experience that I cannot relate to,” he said. “I had to listen to them.” ...

I have brought my dad to Arizona to visit family and friends for a few days. TV is on in the room and at their houses. I want to kill myself from the political coverage.

And it'll get infinitely worse starting Wednesday.

A nice benefit of not consuming traditional media is not being subject to the same amount of political bullshit.

There's really only one reason why election season this time around was so toxic. Races are usually dirty and get annoying but not in the way this race did. Hopefully it's an anomaly.

I hate to say it but I think this sort of political discourse is here to stay. I think television is to blame. People want to be entertained more than they want to be informed. Trump was viewed early on as entertainment gold and the media simply rode the wave. He received so much attention that none of his competitors could gain traction regardless of their policy positions. 2 billion in free media.

I think that the public has to decide what they want as far as their politics goes. Can't complain about the discourse when they select a rambling buffoon as their candidate. Didn't want the wonky guys that drone over policy and put the world to sleep. Give us the ignorant bomb thrower who will say just about anything because he or she views politics simply as showbiz. Well if that's what we want then that is what we will continue to get.

Interesting that in your response to vegan there is not even one small token reference to HRC. You cannot even bring yourself to admit she had anything to do with this toxic cycle.

Hillary's emails?

The emails represent a classic political scandal that would have fatally wounded any campaign except during this year. When I talk about "toxicity" I don't mean emails I mean unprecedented attacks on the electoral process, third grade personal attacks, and dumbing down everything by boasting about the size of one's dick during a nationally televised debate. So no, not emails. Try again

She didn't dumb down the cycle that's why. Study political history and stop apologizing for Trump as so many on here tend to do. For all the flak she gets she has been exonerated on every charge. Every single one yet it's not good enough for Never Trumpers.

Was she the one that bashed blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, Women, people with disabilities? Was she the one talking the size of her genitals?

He has been a damn embarrassment and he gets pass for it from a number of people on this board to be honest. Hillary Clinton is not completely innocent but in no way is there is an equivalency.

The need to always find one regardless of the scenario is scary and it explains partially why he receives the support that he does.

A frivolous Email scandal does not equate in any way to the stuff that he plans to do to people in this country. He led a campaign where he sought to divide this country and people around here are cool with it. Don't give this crap about him being an asshole either.

In the Trump thread you can go at least the first 15 pages and there is really no criticism of him. In fact the Trump thread is mostly a Hillary bash fest. Whenever he is mentioned it's invariably in conjunction with her. "Both candidates" is the common retort. Get a grip. She is nowhere near the stumble bum that he is and anyone that thinks that is an idiot.

It's not a tirade. I speak facts and rather than address any point that I made (which you are probably incapable of doing) you make it about me. Sorry Never Trumper but this one won't fly.

There is nothing that I wrote that happens to be false. You are one the main ones that can never seem to address a point either. Maybe you can but the grammar and spelling invariably gets in the way. Either way anyone attempting to address you will be screwed.

Just another LTG attack. Gets old after awhile. I speak the truth I know it hurts some but I don't care. I take racists and bigots seriously. Don't know if you do and I really don't care either. It doesn't make me crazy either. It makes me informed.

It also means that we won't have to hear anymore of your analysis about Muslims blacks and Hispanics either. That sort of "analysis "really moves the discussion along doesn't it?

Thank you. That is all that needs to be said in a thread about the election in general. Not another LTG Trump tirade.

Just another LTG attack. Gets old after awhile. I speak the truth I know it hurts some but I don't care. I take racists and bigots seriously. Don't know if you do and I really don't care either. It doesn't make me crazy either. It makes me informed.

I do take racists seriously and I am not voting for one. In fact, I am not voting for anyone. So why are you so mad that I point out in a thread about just wanting this terrible cycle over you can only blame Trump. That is until it was pointed out to you and you threw in that HRC was not completely innocent.

Best part of the election being over is hopefully LTG goes away again for another 4 years. Stick to the NBA section .

It also means that we won't have to hear anymore of your analysis about Muslims blacks and Hispanics either. That sort of "analysis "really moves the discussion along doesn't it?

Nope wrong sorry. I love all people and think everyone should be treated equally unlike you.

No you don't hypocrite. You want Muslims and Hispanics excluded from this country. You are so ignorant of the black cause that you still think blacks are arguing for reparations and equate the Black Panthers with terrorists.
