I have been to many baseball parks, but had only been to Soldier Field before Saturday, for an NFL game. But I had long wanted to go see a game as well as the hall of fame in Green Bay. Saturday we got to see both and it was glorious. We got to Green Bay by 10:00 and spent an hour and a half going through the HOF up there before settling into our seats. The weather was glorious for a late December game and the crowd was very spirited. What a great day. Glad we went and definitely plan on going to games there in the future, as well as going to Lambeau for a Spartan race June 24th, 2017. Might have to go see a game at Kansas City next. I hear that's a special place for a game too.

I hear if you go inside your garage, close the door and fire up the ole charcoal Weber grill it's basically like tailgating in KC. You should try it this weekend!

I've been to ten current NFL stadiums. Lambeau is by far the best experience. Dallas is stupid. It's like a fucking mall with football inside.

Lambeau the stadium is great. The crowd sucks sometimes. A lot of attendees are old ass Sconnies who are too old to shout or stand.

That's pretty much every NFL stadium now including lambeau. Lambeau's only saving grace is that it's interesting by default because there is fuck all to do in Green Bay except worship football.

With Green Bay scoring 38 points, there were plenty of reasons for fans to get up and cheer, so the crowd was very spirited. But I have never been to another game there, so I can't say if it was unusual. But the great weather and the very dominant performance of the Green Bay offense both were probably factors. Krolls was a good spot after the game too. Great burgers. Parking was just $15.00. Could hardly believe that.

I went to a game at Lambeau a few years ago. My experience was similar. Only problem was the seats were metal benches like at a college stadium. They made for a cold ass plus a tight fit with all the wide bodies in their winter hunting gear.

I'd like to take my wife and step son to a game next year. I haven't been to Lambeau since my dad and grandpa took me
to a game vs the Bears in the early 1980s.

Something tells me that you will like Green Bay MANY more times than you like KC.

It's a stadium. Don't fetishize it like it is some architectural wonder you were privileged to have seen.

Definitely want to go to a game at KC if you get the chance. The atmosphere there is amazing. The tailgating is great. One of the loudest events I have ever been too.

I've heard that the games that are still tied to the old County Stadium ticket package are more enthusiastic than the traditional Lambeau games, where you get all the passive-aggressive "ya make a better doooor den a window ya knooooow" just for standing up.

I'd guess that Arrowhead and the Black Hole are the only places with flavor in any close approximation to what you get at a big time college program's rivalry game. Saints games are passable because of the quirky, goofy crowds when they're going strong. I've never felt like anything except a bled sardine at a Bears game.

Imho, NFL products are usually only really appreciated on television.

Sitting in the Dawg Pound at a Browns game is fun. Everyone is waiting for the Browns to fuck up but they're involved with every play. You really dig deep into your primal being as you're hammered and literally barking on 3rd down or after a great play.

It's Wrigley with actual fans that watch and understand the game. :P

No, but we exchanged texts before, during and after the game. He also has enjoyed games there a great deal and was very enthusiastic in his praise of Lambeau, which I found to be well placed.

We were made aware of this well before the game and brought stadium seats as well as cardboard to put on the cement under our feet to keep them off the cold cement. As it turned out to be unusually warm, the cardboard was probably not needed, but I was glad to have brought the stadium seats for the added comfort and back support. If they play the weekend of Christmas at home again next year, I am definitely going back. Maybe make it a family tradition of going to the game closest to Christmas.

Of course. And you'd think if someone lied about that, they'd at least pick someone famous.
