Been here all morning and haven't seen a single goddamn Cubs hat. Lots of gear for the beloved though, displayed with near defiance. The base is still strong, perhaps together we can weather the storm of this foreign blue menace and drive them back into the collar counties and cornfields where they belong.

I'm a northwest side German so putting the shamrock on that gay-ass flag doesn't amplify my rage at all.

I'm sure the Cubs very publicly co-opt every cultural event in the city to further ingratiate themselves to the hordes of carpetbagging liberals from the hinterlands desperate to find the fanbase that makes them more authentically Chicagoan. Not that they really need to win those people over anymore, who do you think is paying hundreds of dollars to see them in April?

but secondary market there were plenty of bargains.

i'm a pretty shitty fan that shows up late and leaves around the 7th. i don't want to pay full freight for 2/3 of a game.
